Buried Alive

Do you ever just start to feel so overwhelmed by the to do list that you just throw it all in a big stack and start working down from top to bottom like an archeological dig? Welcome to my Friday!

Oh dear! That makes the blood pressure rise!
Take it slow and easy, like making a quilt, and you will be done before you know it!

Lately that has been a familiar feeling. It is like eating an elephant! Butcher it into small section, let section merinade for a while, cook it slowly, cut it into very small manageable bites, and chew chew chew. Have fun chewing. If you are persistent, the elephant goes away one tiny bite at a time. You just have to remember to rest between sections.

Oh my. You need a Christmas break, Angela. Take it slowly. A piece at a time. I know my "to do list" is overwhelming in December. A stressful time. Thankfully, things calm down after the Christmas decorations are packed away. Not to wish the holidays away, but we couldn't live with this stress on and on.

Take a deep breath and dive in! In no time at all that blue binder will be put away. After all, it's almost the weekend and you need some free time.
Good luck.

I would put all the binders in one stack, all the loose papers in another. Get rid of the loose papers first, then one binder at a time. Kinda like when your sorting a deck of cards to see which one card is missing.

I make a list and then pick the easiest and get it done so I can check something off. Do that for the first few and then work your way through it. Maybe a 10-15 minute break to sew in between? That always makes it go faster =)
Good luck

You are soooo not alone in your day! My past 2+ weeks have been like this...and it isn't going to relent for at least another 10 days! I can't wait for my headache to disappear from all that I have to do. I worked through Thanksgiving break...and each weekend. Hopefully you can get on the other side of this day...for BOTH of us!

Glad that you got through your stack. Some weeks are just that way.
