Rainbow Scrap Challenge - Inspiration Sharing

This is the time when people are starting to think about projects for next year.  What could be more fun than plans and schemes for new rainbow quilts?
Here are a few ideas to prime the pump:

Use the linky below to share your own ideas, plans and schemes.  Feel free to post on your own progress of course.  My machine was in the shop all week and I have yet to sew a stitch since last weekend.  I am looking forward to unpacking her though and finishing off some loose ends.  How about you?

I need to decide what I'll be making next year besides the orange peel. Too many options to choose from!

I still have hope to finish off this year's rainbow quilt so I can take part in RSC 2013. Once Christmas sewing/quilting is over it will be full steam ahead.

You have shown so many great ideas for next year!

like flying geese, I think this one is a doll quilt, but it would brighten a table as place mats, or make a HUGE quilt out of them here:

Or if you are a little nuts about hexagons, go way out there and make one of these blue ribbon winners here, 2nd one down:

and my all time favorite which I have already started here and there:

the squares in the 9 patches finish at half-inch, yeppers TINY!!!!!

I am working on writing me up everything I want to do, so when I cut up scraps, I can cut each different size I need, make a few blocks and put them in the appropriate bins, and see what I have at the end of the year, along with the HUGE bucket list of other quilts I want to start next year too. Finish all the ones started too, I hope I get to sew lots, because I am goin to need to.

I love all those ideas, Angela. Have a 5" tumbler template I have never used!
Anne Marie commented with some excellent ideas, too. My rainbow list is growing.
I pieced the backs for my last two rainbow quilts. One is sandwiched ready to go under the sewing machine needle. I hope to post a picture of it all finished Saturday. Maybe the other one Saturday after Christmas.
It has been a good year!
