Slowdown Sunday

I was putting around the house doing all the normal weekend things when I finally hit a wall.  I just needed to sit for a bit.  Instead of reading or napping I pulled out the old blue Dear Jane quilt and settled in to work a bit more on the hand quilting.  Kathy hosts handwork Sundays, so go over to her blog to see what other handwork people are working on today.  Tonight is the season three premiere for Downton Abbey on PBS, so I will surely have a few bit more quiet hand quilting time.  While stitching I was pondering the two main possibilities for my tiny nine patches.  So I'm taking votes.  Choice one is called The Birthday Quilt.  Choice two is Ohmygosh.  What do you think?

So glad you have some time for hand quilting today!
I LOVE the Omigosh and am thinking about making one myself, so that's my vote for sure!
Thanks for linking up to slow sunday stitching!

I have always loved the Birthday Quilt but I can't find the pattern anywhere.
You've already made a Dear Jane in blue? You're my hero. I bought the book, but that's as far as I've gotten...

I like the looks of Ohmigosh better than the birthday quilt. Probably because of the second block that is in it.

A friend of mine made the Ohmygosh quilt, and it is absolutely breathtaking! Everyone who sees it just sits speechless for a few minutes. That gets my vote :*)

Sometimes it feels so good to just sit and stitch.:) Lovely work!

I like both choices, but Ohmygosh is more visually interesting. I've never seen an OMG in person, but I have seen varieties of the BQ at quilt shows. It's impressive to see all those nine patches, that's for sure!

I checked the link to Ohmygosh and I said Ohmygosh! I love it and I really like The Birthday Quilt too. Wow...tough decision.

What are you using to mark your quilting lines on your blue DJ?

Both are beautiful... but Ohmygosh! That is amazing.
Love how your blue DJ is progressing. Your quilting is beautiful.
