Dear Jane Borders - Slow Stitching Sunday

It is time for Kathy's weekly reminder to slow down and breath.  I don't do enough of that lately.  So in celebration of the serenity of Sunday, I'm pulling out my tiny blue Jane again and getting ready to start stitching the border.  I'm thinking of this feather stencil and still working on finding just the right marking pen for the dark blue border.  I remember buying a special pen and putting it safely away.  Too safely it seems.  I'm sure it will turn up soon enough.
I have a pile of school work still left undone.  I'll carry it back to school and do my best to work through it as the week goes on.  I'm getting tired of spending weekends catching up on school work though and this is my own little protest.  I'll regret it in the morning I am sure, but nonetheless I'm going to quilt.  Quilt and watch the academy awards.  I've only seen one of the nominated movies I think, but I'll enjoy the pretty dresses and the excuse to sit still for a while.

I also put things away in safe places then I can't remember the safe place. I've been using the Fons & Porter (with white lead) marking pencil on my dark fabric. It works great and erases away and rinses away. Purchased at Joann's with coupon. Just a suggestion if you can't find yours.

Me too... let's just sit and relax and stitch and see which films win this year! Enjoy!

It's hard to just leave stuff at work and I'm pretty sure there are not enough hours in the work week when you are a teacher.

Hope you got to enjoy the awards.

Hope you enjoyed your sewing time! I just pulled some teal/aqua and cut out some hexies =). Had to do something before I was kicked out of the sewing room this week.

Oh - I find a yellow marking pencil works great on dark blue. I have the set of 4 (white, yellow, light blue, grey) Fons and Porter pencils from Joanns Fabrics and all four work great on medium and dark blue.
