Slow Stitching Binding Time

I just pulled the anniversary quilt off of the frame.  Now it is time to settle in with a little celebratory binding.  This one is done just in time for the in-laws to show up next weekend.  It was so nice to have a little time to sew today and even nicer to be able to cross this quilt off the list.  DH has been giving me the "evil eye" anytime I sewed on something different wanting to know why his mom's quilt wasn't done yet.  Not really, but it did seem that way.  Now I will be able to sew without the lingering guilt of knowing I should be doing this one instead.  For now though, happy binding!

Great job on the finish. Enjoy the hand stitching on the binding tonight. I need to run out and get a green shirt for Emily then hopefully I can get some slow stitching in.

They're not hexies, but I love them just the same. There is just something about using one shape in a quilt that makes them special. Angela, I invite you to link this beauty to Hexie Weekend, ends tonight. It's a lovely quilt.

It's done and in plenty of time. Hope you enjoyed the slow Sunday Stitching of the binding. I'm sure your in-laws will love the quilt. It looks wonderful.

Doesn't a finish just make you feel so proud of yourself? I'm slowly working on a binding these days. I'll get it done eventually. And yea for guilt free quilting.
