ScrapHappy Saturday Green Green Grass of Home

A weekend awaits. Time to sew, time to quilt, time to play.  Just 8 more school days until the end.  Not that anyone is counting down of course.  Until then, an open Saturday of possibilities awaits.  How about you?  Is the grass greener in your sewing room today?  Use misterlinky below to share your progress so far.

With all the rain we have had it is very green around here. Hope to find some time to spend in the sewing room once the yard work is completed

It's definitely the green, green grass of home around here. We have had a lot of very heavy rain for a week, but the weather cleared yesterday, and now the temperatures are up to 17°C (it's 12:45). Grass and trees are now shiney clean green in the sunlight - the best!

Lots of green in my sewing room - I really should put away purple and teal =).
Em has 8 more days - Aidan 12 - but a few are half days.

It is late autumn here, but the weather is just wonderful - 24C today and more of that promised for another whole week. We had lots of rain a couple of weeks back, and the grass is growing like mad, so yes it is green. Most trees here are evergreens, with a smattering of deciduous. I like those as the view improves when they shed their leaves LOL.

Wow! School is out in 8 school days? As in less than 2 weeks. I guess you guys weren't hit with 10 snow days or such, eh? I don't miss those days at all. I would have summers where I worked until a day or so before July. Of course, I did have a few extra days at the end of the regular school year as the media specialist. Hope the end goes smoothly for you and then you get to sew to your heart's content over the summer.

The green RSC blocks are great. I remember my teaching days and the wind up of the school year - busy, hectic, crazy days. We've had a lot of rain up north and the grass is definitely greener. The trees seem to have greened overnight. And my quilting area is green all over.

I'm so excited about using up all my green batiks! I am so glad you are sponsoring this as it helps me get the motivation to move the old stuff out!

I think a count down is definitely in order. You know the kids are excited to think about summer vacation, why shouldn't you?

All the green thumbnails on the linky list are practically glowing--there seems to be a whole lot of green scraps quilting going on ... I need to catch up!

I hope your day was full of goodness!

We have 3 1/2 days left... And four days until I find out if I'm having a boy or a girl! It's a good way to end the school year.

I finally got my Kickin' Stash blocks finished - and now I'm thinking of making another one in lime-y greens and maybe one in bright grass greens.....!

We don't finish school here until the middle of July. (Except my eldest who has exams and then finishes in mid June). As I work in a school, I certainly count down the days! But at least there is a little time on weekends for scrappy sewing... my green isn't out of control, but it's always nice to use things which are just sitting around!
