Wrapping Up

The end of the year is near.  It is definitely time to see what you can cross of the list to make room for new projects next year.  Or just start thinking about all the new projects you want to start next year.  Why is it that planning new projects is so much fun?

  1. Wow! First link up today! I think I have a block already saved off for next year..... I think I need a vacation to spend a week in my sewing room to finish some things. Yup, that won't happen!

  2. I didn't have time to work on the old, so I started dreaming about the new. Looking forward to seeing what you have planned for next year.

  3. I know I haven't been linking here much for the last few weeks - I've been busy working on existing projects but not necessarily RSC projects. I have two new projects planned for RSC next year - so now I'm trying to corral the clutter in the studio in preparation. Happy Holidays to all!!

  4. I think it is about the anticipation of a new project without the reality that a lot of time and hard work is actually involved in making it and bringing it to compeletion.

  5. For quilting, may use invisible thread. I think the quilt top is busy enough without adding colored thread. You can use invisible thread on top or, depending on your back, use it on top and bottom.

My idea for quilting is to quilt the square in the middle of the star like stitch in the ditch, but 1/4" inch inside seam and do the same with the half squared triangle. On the white strips a simple line down the middle.

You could also do just a simple diagonal or straight horizontal or vertical lines from top to bottom on the quilt. Lines could also be wavy.

  8. All my rainbow projects have gotten side-tracked lately, probably because I've decided to carry most of them over into next year's rainbow. Not to mention I've gotten sucked into the vortex of a couple of new projects. Oh, my!
