ScrapHappy Saturday

I love the end of the year.  Finishing is always so much fun!  I have a few straight setting options for your consideration.  I did mine is a straight set with lattice strips and multicolor cornerstones.  What are your plans?

Straight setting options:

1.5 inch unfinished units = 5 inch finished blocks
30 blocks
Straight set 5 x 6 with 1 inch sashing and 1.5 inch border: finished size = 33.75 by 39.75
Cut 49 sashing strips 5.5 by 1.5 inches.
Cut 20 cornerstones 1.5 inches by 1.5 inches

7.5 inch blocks
2 inch unfinished units = 7.5 inch finished blocks
straight set 5 x 6 with 1.5 inch sashing and 2 inch border: finished size = 49.25 by 58.25
Cut 49 sashing strips 8 by 2 inches.
Cut 20 cornerstones 2 inches by 2 inches
10 inch blocks
2.5 inch unfinished units = 10 inch finished blocks
straight set 5 x 6 with 1.5 inch sashing and 2 inch border: finished size =  61.75 by 73.25
Cut 49 sashing strips 10.5 by 2 inches.
Cut 20 cornerstones 2 inches by 2 inches

15 inch blocks
3.5 inch unfinished units = 15 inch finished blocks
straight set 4 x 5 with 1.5 inch sashing and 2 inch border: finished size = 70.25 by 86.75

Cut 31 sashing strips 15.5 by 2 inches.

Cut 12 cornerstones 2 inches by 2 inches

Anna is home from college this week and we have a family wedding coming up in North Carolina.  The hurricane was far away from our side of the state and we never saw more than a windy day out of it. It is horrible to see the devastation that it has caused.

  1. Love all your Squared Away blocks! I'm thinking of an on point setting for mine. But I've not had all the blocks up on the design wall as yet, so we'll see when I get these last three done.
