ScrapHappy Saturday - Still Blue

We are trying hard to come up with things for Sydney to do.  She is our extrovert and just wants to go hang out with her friends.  So we had her cut Kurt's hair.  And I bribed her to organize the pantry.  She made some cookies, and some banana bread.  Its been a long week.
Apparently the sea turtle are doing remarkably well this year.  We saw our first nest of the season on a morning beach walk.
Then during one of our afternoon beach walks, there was a rocket launch.  Kurt keeps track and we usually try to go out and watch them go up.
I finished my blue soul searching blocks.
And the nine patches from 2 inch squares are ready for framing.
That just leaves these strings to finish off, and then I can start the sprouts blocks.  I"m not sure how I feel about blue flowers, but I'll give it a go.
How are your blue scraps coming along?  Plenty of time to sew, or lack of motivation to get anything done as the cabin fever sets in?  I swing back and forth personally, but there is plenty of time for both moods.
Here is the linky tool, let us know what you are up to as we all continue to distance physically but not socially.

Actually, we have some flowers that are light blue in the front bed. Is she able to video with her friends? Emily has had way too much phone time with a friend each day.

I love the soul searching blocks. That would make a great table runner. I can only imagine how hard it must be keeping the kids busy. I hope things settle down soon.

Isolation with children is not easy. Although my children are older than yours they are bored stiff every now and again. We had a paper plane competition. Sounds silly and it was but it was also very funny. They tried different ways of folding and different size of paper trying to make the plane fly the farthest of course. Just a suggestion. Take care. ;^)

Love your blue blocks! If your daughter needs more to do, she could look online for online volunteer opportunities. Good Morning America has a big list. Mostly it's making phone calls, perfect for an extrovert. Have a good day in quarantine!

I've always cut Fred's hair so nothing new there. However the neighbor has asked me to cut his hair next! Oh my. Too much pressure! Lol! Your blocks are very pretty. I really like your soul searching ones!

Love this post, the hair cutting, turtle nest, rocket launch and pretty blue quilting projects on the go. My day rhythm is much like yours, I'm working from home and have a productive day followed by a spinning my wheels day, I guess that's just the way it goes. As an extrovert, the days when I have work meetings or zoom meet with friends are the best.

Yea on finding things for your daughter to do at home. I’m sure many vulnerable people will thank her for staying out of the community. I have to say blue flowers are my favorite—not purplish ones that are called blue, but truly blue ones, like forget-me-nots. I have had this strong opinion ever since I was in kindergarten or first grade, when a teacher criticized my art work because she said there are no such things as blue flowers. What a memory, huh? So, do sew those blue flowers! :)

Great Soul Searching blocks. I think that we are all getting a degree of "cabin fever". Each day seems to be the same with the exception of a weekly outing to the shops. Take care.

Poor Kiddo! My youngest feels her pain too! He is getting excited to drive to the grocery store - and you know that is just stuck in the car with me! ( we do pick up so never even leave the car)

So hard for extroverts! My husband & I are both introverts and happy to be at home but it's hard on my 6-year-old. My husband took a stab at being a barber today and my son's haircut looks surprisingly good. Love your soul searching blocks!

Isolation can be a hardship for an extrovert. You're on the right track. Just keep her busy. Blue flowers will look great i.e. pansy, lobellia, periwinkle, iris. Lots of them around.
