I just realized that this is my 100th post! I have "met" some great people through my blog, and I so much enjoy checking in on their projects and keeping up to date with their lives. I never would have imagined that having a journal online would be such a fun and interactive experience. Not being much of a writer, I've tried to keep diaries and journals in the past, but always fizzled out. It seems so futile to write things you know no one will ever read.
There seems to be a definite trend in offering a giveaway for 100th posts, so I feel I must join in. If you would like to be entered in the drawing, please leave a comment with a hint about your favorite color or theme. ReplyDeleteHmmm....colors......well, I really think I have grown fond of the 30's fabrics! So bright and fun! In fact, I've bought at least ONE fat-quarter of a 30's fabric each of the last times I've been at the quilt shop....uh-oh!
And...ummm....are you just trying to get our mouth watering with that delicious Strawberry topped cake on this post??? :0)
Well done you. I agree with you about the fun and interactivenes - so much more point to it then. I never think of myself as girly, but I do love raspberry pink. That cake is absolutely wicked!

ReplyDeleteI am a pink girl, any shade makes me happy. I love florals and polka dots, stripes, plaids, heck I like everything! Congrats and thanks for sharing. When I was a kid we would have strawberry shortcake for dinner once a year, what a lovely memory you gave me.

Anna and Sierra are in the bathroom right now, playing "dentist" (better than doctor, I suppose!). Sierra is sitting on the toilet lid, swathed in a pink-towel cape, and Anna is brushing her teeth and having her spit.
Another funny thing on this Saturday morning -- Anna walked into Sierra's room, noticed the door was missing, and said, "Sierra! Where is your door?!" Sierra didn't want to tell her, and Anna said, "I know what you did! You slammed your door and your mom took it away. MY mom always says if I slam my door she'll take it away, but I thought she was KIDDING! I didn't think moms could really DO that!"
Oh, my friend, moms can do a lot more than that!!!

Congrats on your 100th post! I enjoy reading your blog as I try to visit each mystery member at least once a week. As far as colors go, I have been leaning towards pinks since they are out of my comfort zone. Trying to stretch here.
