Making a List

The Rainbow Scrap Challenge Row by Row sampler from 2016 is done.  That one took a while.  The quilting has been a backlog lately just due to the lack of a permanently set up frame, but I am still able to make burst of progress.   Spring break is next week, so I won't disassemble the quilting set up quite yet.  I think I can add one to two to the finished list before the week is done.

School is painful right now because the kids are all so ready for a break.  I keep thinking that we never came back from the break last year.  What a long strange time it has been since then!   I see the national and state graphs coming down and keep waiting for an end to it all.  It doesn't seem over quite yet though and we keep quarantining new kids on a daily basis after contact with known cases either at home or at school.  Then the quarantined kids come back positive and we start all over again.

I do feel better though knowing that I have had a vaccine.  It should be fully active by the time that we all return from the holiday.  After hearing the kids share their plans of grand trips and travel adventures, I can only imagine the round of contact tracing that will follow.   Glad that isn't my job!  I will just keep teaching them biology.     That is something I can do.   And I can make quilts.  Those two things are fully under my control.

I hope not as many kids go on spring break as they did last March & April - it did get crazy then - we are finally have less and less cases here in Arkansas all the time and it makes me feel good and wonder what it will be at the beginning of next month.
Too bad you can not leave your frame up all the time for quilting but good that you can get a lot done when you have it up

Your 2016 sampler turned out wonderfully! I love the column layout. I bet you're really ready for a break, too - almost there!

It's so bizarre to know that people are travelling as if nothing is happening in a global pandemic! I haven't left my house for any reason except helping my parents or getting groceries for a year now! My safety is the only thing I can control. I feel so bad for people who can't work from home and are affected by the travelling of others.
This is such a lovely sampler quilt...enjoy the binding!

I love that sampler and loved the whole process of a column quilt back in 2016. Would do another one of those in a heartbeat! Yours turned out so beautifully, Angela. We’re in the process of vaccination, too, and are so looking forward to seeing family again soon (and hugging my kids), all within the guidelines of course. It’s been a hard year, but we are hopefully turning a corner. My heart goes out to you teachers who have had to work doubly hard to teach and keep everyone happy (and yourselves safe). xo

Love your 2016RSC quilt. Turned out very pretty. I'm impressed -- you might get a couple of quilts finished in just a week? You go, girl! Stay safe!

Great job on the sampler finish! I was thinking of heading to the beach but after discussing, will opt to stay close to home and limit the exposure. I sure hope things go back to normal in the next few months. Hubby got his shot today through the VA - Pfizer was in stock so that is what he got. Happy quilting next week! Mine are doing QSMA testing this week.... so they are a wee bit grumpy.

Love that row quilt! It is real favorite of mine! I loved following along month by month with your great tutorials! Hoping you’ll do another quilt along one next year!

What a beautiful finish! I am relieved to hear you are vaccinated. This has all been such an impossible mess, especially in regard to education.

The row quilt looks great. Here's to a quilty spring break. (and that lots of people don't go down to Florida and share their viruses! We're going to our beach house but don't plan to go out all that much. We need to do some some repairs on it. My guess is we'll be doing take out or bringing some dinners from home.

The RSC quilt in rows really looks terrific! I admired yours and others that were finished that year.

It's always very interesting to read about different hobbies in your blog. My hobby is sports, particularly tennis and betting on it. I bet on the Men's Wimbledon as there's some great matches going on in this league. Very profitable if you know anything about tennis and bet smartly, maximizing your win potential.

I'm super excited to tell the public that I have been permanently cured from herpes by Dr Agbomina . I had herpes for years but everyone told me that there was no cure to it and every doctor I contacted failed to cure me until I contacted Dr Agbomina , he placed me on diet and also sent his medicine to me and today I'm free and my lab test confirmed it. You can contact Dr Agbomina via his WhatsApp +234(805)049-5479 or email: dragbonherbalmedicine@gmail.com You can visit his Website at https://dragbonherbalmedic.wixsite.com/welcometodoctoragbon
