I just finished the second quadrant of Four Square. It would be nice to get more done at one time, but there just doesn't seem to be that much time in the evenings by the time dinner, dishes, baths, stories and bedtime are all taken care of. The weather has finally been nice enough that we are taking evening walks or having swims after dinner. We are reading Alice in Wonderland with Anna and Sydney has a Dr. Seuss contest with her class, so it takes both of us right now to get all of that taken care of.
I got the fabric from last night washed and dried, so if sitting down in front of the computer doesn't take my last bit of energy I might get some of that ironed before my own bedtime routine. Interims end next week, so I'm trying to get caught up on all of my grading at work. I made a tidy stack on the corner of my desk before spring break and let it sit there patiently waiting for me to get back to it. Eventually people want scores and updated grades though so I'm diligently working my way trough it all and making sure it is duly entered into the computerized grade book.
I'm amazed that you get anything done at all at the end of such a busy day. By the time I'd finished all of those jobs on top of a teaching day I just used to collapse in a quivering heap!
ReplyDeleteAfter our bedtime routines I can't get any sewing done. I am really liking your 4 square. I am thinking about doing a Jacobs Ladder.
ReplyDeleteYour 4 square looks great, it'll be a beauty, and done on your new machine I would imagine. That will make things easier and more fun.
ReplyDeleteLovely job on your quilt! I really love the fabric. Thanks for visiting! Yes, no UFOS for now, but you know how it is, then we start new projects, and we are back to square one.

I haven't said this EVER, but have heard others say it....
ReplyDelete"We sure could get a lot of quilting done if life didn't get in the way" ;0)
Yeah, I'm feeling the grade-pinch as well;; two weeks into the quarter already, and today was the first grade entries I made **yikes**
