I finished up my rainbow of crumb blocks this weekend! Most of them have been made along the way during the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. Now I just have to decide how to put them together.
Option 1 is a simple grid.
Option 2 is an alternating grid. I would fill in with half blocks along the edges, making the quilt a bit wider. That might inspire me to add a row of brown blocks to the bottom and maybe even a row of black to the top, though that might be too dark compared to the rest of the quilt.
So what do you think, Option 1 or Option 2?

I like Option 2 - and OO OO did you just let slip that next month is brown by any chance? I'll be watching..... ha ha
ReplyDeleteI like the fun look of option 2. It plays well with the bright, happy blocks.
ReplyDeleteI have trouble visualizing but I like option 2 and maybe use the multi-colour crumb blocks as a border to make it wider and longer.
ReplyDeleteI like them both but probably like the "off set" option 2 a little bit more. And I have a great idea for the border... "Rainbow Scrap Challenge" using the UnRuly letters would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteThey look great. Wish I had thought to do this. I like option 1.
ReplyDeleteOption 2, definitely. Altho since it mean more work, not just sewing the rows together, Option 1 is nice too :-D
ReplyDeleteI like the alternating grid! I'll need to make on like that with my crumbs! Thanks for the inspiration...
ReplyDeleteI like Option 2, just for the interest factor.
ReplyDeleteBright and cheery! Option 1 is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteNumber 2!
ReplyDeleteI like Option 1 the best, as it allows the colours to speak for themselves without the design being distracting.
ReplyDeleteOption 1 lets my eyes rest. Option 2 keeps my eyes jumping all over. Kind of depends on how you want to use the quilt. Fun use of scraps!!
ReplyDeleteI think I like Option 1 best.
ReplyDeleteI like option 2. I like the string blocks you used in the post before. Wish I had done a block or two for each month instead of trying to do a whole project each time....then I wouldn't have been a Scrap Challenge drop out. I still love seeing what everyone is doing.
ReplyDeleteI really like Option 2 - it's just that little bit more interesting!
ReplyDeleteI know at least one person who's sure that next month will be brown!
