Today is the first ScrapHappy Saturday in orange! I have a few black blocks to finish up and I want to do some more crumby sewing for the crumb along, but I will definitely delve into the orange jar (though is is shared with yellow) to see what I can find. Feeling inspired by orange yet? Post your ponderings below.
I pulled out an old project last night hoping to finish it off, but I couldn't find the right ruler to make the little star points. Maybe it will turn up today so I can finish off this little quilt for the entryway. I think I started making the big blocks (9.5 inches) and then decided smaller blocks would be cuter (6.5 inches).
I was so ready for orange - what a lovely cheery colour - learned to love it more when I lived in the States and experienced Halloween (loads of Fun) and Thanksgiving (wish we had that in OZ). Miss those orange pumpkins!
ReplyDeleteYAY! It's orange! See my blog to see why I say this.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking it would be an orange month. I'm sure I'll find some in the stash when I unpack...I was thinking of a pumpkin wall hanging years ago that never got made. Maybe it will this month!
ReplyDeleteYay I love orange! Glad that is this month's color :) I was hoping!
ReplyDeleteYahoo...I love orange! I'll get to work tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteOrange is such a vibrant, happy colour - love it! I am glad I will be able to participate this month.
ReplyDeleteOoops, I also meant to say your blocks look wonderful - can't wait to see how they finish up!
ReplyDeleteDid you see Kate's post last week? She predicted orange for this month! I guess it's because of Halloween, a holiday that is just starting to infiltrate the Australian culture!
ReplyDeleteNot sure if I am following the rules (if there are any) but there is orange in this little quilt though I didn't get to do it on Saturday...I enjoy your scrap happy rainbow scrap challenges from afar..so trying to sneak on in!
