Anyone feeling inspired by brown today? Somewhere I have the pieces for a scraphappy brown square, right next to the orange one still missing from company cleaning last month. Hopefully I'll unearth those today and start thinking about the finished scraphappy quilt. How about you? Feeling brown?
I love coming here to look at others scrap projects even though I have fizzled. I tried to make entire projects each month. The ones I really like are the postage stamp blocks made from each months colors. Can't wait to see your Scraphappy quilt.
ReplyDeleteI admit that I anticipated in September you'd pick orange for October and brown for November (we'll see if I'm right on my December prediction, lol) and I made some orange and brown string hearts throughout October - so I'm ahead this month. I've also used some of the string hearts I've been making all year to actually put together into tops!
ReplyDeleteToday, I also made a scrappy baby quilt top in mostly browns, but I haven't blogged it yet, so I'll probably link again next Saturday with that link when it's done...
I've really enjoyed the challenge this year - thanks for organising it!
I have a few brown in the works so wi9ll be back after today. This time I am linking up my post with two linky parties.
ReplyDeleteI am planning for brown, sorted fabrics last night, but I have to amke some laundry bags for Aussie soldiers before I can play. Soon though......
ReplyDeleteNot really brown... more of the tan/beige for this week with my JL blocks. I hope to play with more browns next Saturday.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're interpretationof brown is generous ! It's not a colour that often appears in my repertoire - however warm russets are another rmatter entirely !
ReplyDeleteI'd say I was feeling blue right now but that's another story!! I think I might be able to rustle up a few brown scraps and play along!
ReplyDeleteBrown is a great colour and when added with others such a teal it stands out even more. I have made some blocks for my swap for my friend but its a surprise at the moment.
