Anna's special blanket has been remade. Though I was not allowed to discard any of the shreds that remained, I was permitted to applique specially chosen squared on top of the old tatters.
Trying to get the batting to stick to empty space was a trick, but it all came together in the end. Most importantly, it was done before bedtime.
wow! My grandmother repaired my brother's blanket when we were kids, it was the end of the blanket -- she put new binding all around the outside covering up the tattered fabrics and my brother never liked it again.
ReplyDeleteWish now I had quilted his blanket instead of crocheting it. It is almost just string but he still keeps it. You go girl! You get the love award for this week! I just made it up but you should. That girl looks thrilled. Good job!
