I am on a quest to clear out all the moldy oldies. Experiments in bags, block collections in corners, PIGs, WIPs, UFOs and otherwise. These wonky log cabins started as a bin of scraps gifted to me by a neighbor who was moving away. I had planned on turning it into a quilt top and giving it to them before they left, but here they are, several years later, still waiting to be finished. I sewed up all that were in progress, and though I have no idea what I was thinking when I made them, it looks like I need four more of each color to call it a quilt.
Hey! Bright-n-early Betty today, I see :)
ReplyDeleteExcellent idea! I think I'm with you on cleaning up some oldie moldies!
YOU may be thinking "what was I thinking?" but they'll make an adorable Christmas quilt/table topper!
Moldy oldies or not, they're awesome and I agree with Amy.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'll bite - PIGs?
ReplyDeleteI dedicated my YEAR to doing this, and is has worked better than last year when I just accumulated them!

Moldy?!?! Hope not! Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteLove this idea. It probably uses up lots of scraps because of all the seams involved -- but takes lots of time too. Get those 5 blocks done and call it a finish. Listen to me telling you to get it done. ha ha I need to take my own advice on the too numerous to count WIP scrap blocks of my own!! ha
ReplyDeleteI love these blocks. You could do 4 more of each....OR....put them on point with setting squares and triangles and call it done :)

Yes - what's a PIG? LOL* Project in ... garage?
ReplyDeleteWay to keep it all moving...lol, sure feels good to get some of the old stuff out and gone!
ReplyDeleteIt looks as though you are doing very well with your "use the pieces" resolution! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteFun blocks. It's good to clear out the old, then you can add more new.
ReplyDeleteI caught the same finish it up, clear it out bug!
ReplyDeleteI think your blocks will make a fun looking quilt.
I really love those wonky blocks. How about using the 9 to make a wall hanging or a table topper?
