There is something about orange that just makes me smile. I really didn't have much for the first few years of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, but now I've collected quite a nice little bunch. Last weekend I used some of them to make framed nine patches to go with Mai Tai, today I will work on some of the star blocks that alternate.

ReplyDeleteLiving through the 70s I think I got enough orange back then when it was popular so don't really care for it much but it sure seems to add some zest to quilts.

I seldom use orange and don't have any in my scraps. One of these days I'll need to stretch myself and purchase some orange material.

ReplyDeleteI think orange, like red, is challenging because it covers such a broad range. I am trying to bulk up my orange stash this year!
ReplyDeleteWhen I sorted out the pile of orange scraps, I found lots of 2.5" WOF strips -- that has become over a yard of strata. WOOT -- now I can cut out pieces and parts for all six of my RSC projects!

ReplyDeleteI haven't had much orange in my stash or scraps in the past, and I think I've used up most of my scraps over the last year of RSC. I found a few bits, however I need to enhance my stash, perhaps a September project.
