Today is the last official day of finishing up pink. I hope you have lots of great blocks to share.
I got some nine patches framed, a few postage stamp stars, and a couple of little twinklers on pink backgrounds. I also sorted through all the pink, and trimmed it into useable sizes.
Last on my list are some string blocks. These little skinny strips are leftover after all the rest and will make great blocks with black centers in half dark and half light. There are already a few in the mix, but looks like a few more are on list for today. Now that Kurt is home again, he will do Lacrosse with Sydney while I do Mathcounts with Ryan and the school play with Anna. Tomorrow is completely open though, and sewing up these last pink strings will be a great project before pulling out the yellow for March.

Great job with pinks! I'm glad I can still play with mine today after the kids stuff is done this morning. Half my birds in the air blocks are done - 6 to go!
ReplyDeleteYay for yellow! I will have plenty to do, so today will be "clean up, pick up, put away!"

ReplyDeleteOooooh - yellow! YES! Daffodils . . .
ReplyDeleteLike your string quilt idea. Good luck finding time to sew!
ReplyDeleteLots of fun scrappy pink blocks. Hope you do get a chance to stitch tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteSo many blocks you get done in a month, and they look great! Use up all the pinks yet?
ReplyDeleteHope you get some time to play with the last of your pink. Great looking wall of pink so far.
ReplyDeleteGreat job with all your pinks. WOW you surprised me with the color choice. I'm going to be digging deep for yellows however that is the fun of using scraps. Again thanks for doing this.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on your pinks!! I am so amazed at how much you all do.... and never stop lol
ReplyDeleteYay for yellow - I will start digging tonite to see what I can find lol
You've certainly been very productive this month. I love the large patched blocks with white wonky stars. And now on to the daffies; St David's Day tomorrow (Patron Saint of Wales, emblem: daffodil).
ReplyDeleteYeah, you were able to get some pink sewing and sorting in! Sorting is big.
ReplyDeleteHurray for yellow! Hope you have a great weekend. It sounds like a busy one!
ReplyDeleteStill no pink for me but using up a lot of stash. Thank you for this encouraging, friendly community of friends you've created :)
ReplyDeleteLove your pinks... my favorite color! And thanks for the fun party!
ReplyDeleteThank you for pushing me out of my comfort zone, I just about used up all of my pink scraps!
ReplyDeleteI see Yellow now. I will have to do some Yellow tulips this week. Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you store your pink strips, pinned onto a ring and your pink stash busting is great. I've used up a lot of pink but won't be showing, a busy kitty knocked my camera to the floor and it's jammed, so no pics until I can get it fixed...I hope. Yellow! a great start to an Aussie autumn.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing your pink string blocks! I had to sit on my hands this month to keep from starting a pink string quilt.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to yellow. Hope it brings more mild temperatures and sunshine my way.
ReplyDeleteYay! for Yellow. I knew it.
ReplyDeleteYellow it is for March...
ReplyDeleteI'm off to see what "scraps" I have.
Great choice too... xox
You've used up plenty of pink this month, Angela - good luck with the yellow!
