April Color Annoucement

The color for April will be purple.  These beautiful hand dyed fabrics from Vicki Welsh make me think of irises and crocuses of spring.  I used to look forward to them as the first sign of spring when we lived up north.  Spring was a short weekend leading to swelter here in Florida, but I enjoy the thought of seasons if not the reality.  So pull out ALL your purples.  from lightest lavender, to darkest violet, let them all come out to play this month.  If you would like to be entered into the drawing to win this package of hand dyed fabrics, just leave a comment on this post.  Just for fun, tell me the name and date of the last quilt you finished.

  7. I am just putting the last few stitches in the binding on 'Jubilee' (named for the fabric line used - Jubilee by Bunny Hill). It is the newest charm pattern with FatQuarter Shop and went together so quickly - I have a baby quilt that will be waiting on the shelf.

  23. My last quilt was finished in early March this year. It was a crib size Happy Scrappy Houses, a pattern from Bonnie Hunter at quiltville.com I made 12 I spy houses using fabric for every month of the year. It was crib size and donated to charity that has helpled our family for a fundraiser. Haven't heard what it brought.
