It promises to be a rainy weekend around the Florida peninsula. Sounds like a great excuse to stay inside and get some sewing done to me. I think there are still some dark scraps hanging out waiting to be used up. This is the last indigo weekend, so I hope to make some headway. The weeks have gotten busy with back to school fun. Open houses, play practice, lacrosse and football have kept us from having many dinners as a family. The kids are all hoping that hurricane Erica will keep us home on Monday. I don't think they are right, so I'm enjoying Saturday and Sunday instead. MisterLinky is below, please share the last of your indigo blocks and check out the rainbow happiness of the other RSC quilters.
Oh I hope that hurricane weakens!
ReplyDeleteLooks like just rain and not as much, but then again anything can happen! Think a 'rain, rain, go away' chant would help? Have a great weekend playing with scraps.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are getting back into the swing of the school year. Open house was last Thursday for the high school. They've added two new buildings to the already huge high school in order to combine 9th through 12th in one "building". DT has classes in both the new buildings, which are at opposite ends of the campus. She'll definitely get her exercise getting to her classes.
ReplyDeleteI see that Erika has largely dissipated this morning, but I hope she stays that way and doesn't cause any problems for central Florida!
ReplyDeleteI hope you're right and Erica just blows herself out. What beautiful colour in the sky picture. I always loved the busyness of September back to school. Meeting new students and parents and getting new program ideas started. An invigorating time of year.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with Erica. We're having high winds around here, causing the power to flicker on and off. I'm not going near the sewing machine until it calms down outside! At least we should get some much needed rain along with the wind.
ReplyDeleteI am mildly disappointed not to get a tropical storm...no hurricane is wished on anyone, but the extra water is very desirous where I am!
ReplyDeleteThe sky pic is beautiful!
Beautiful sky picture, Angela! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHope the hurricane blows itself out to sea.
