These string blocks have been hanging around in the background for ages and ages. Every so often it is fun to pull out and sew mindlessly. Someday they may turn into a quilt! It looks like I need some more orange. I think there is some laundry to be folder first. Ah Sunday. The girls want to make cookies and we are out of butter. Ryan wants to go to the library. Somewhere in there though, there are plenty of strings waiting to be sewn into more blocks.
Sure to be DAZZLING when transformed into a quilt!! Here's hoping your get more time to sew today.
ReplyDeleteString blocks on are on my RSC list for next year. I really like how yours are made with two colors. Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
ReplyDeleteI love your plan with the dark center that gives such a great shape to your quilt when you lay the blocks out together! I'm going to have to remember that!
ReplyDeleteThese blocks look amazing!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can squeeze in a little sewing time!
ReplyDeleteBoy the black really makes the blocks pop!!!
ReplyDeleteMy suggestion would be to hold onto these until Bonnie Hunter's mystery clues are finished. She is sure to have some string pieced components! LOL!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful and bright colors! Hope you found some time for stitching today.
ReplyDeleteThat sure is a gorgeous top coming along. Totally agree with doitrightquilter - the black absolutely make those blocks.
ReplyDeleteYour string blocks are going to make a beautiful quilt!
ReplyDeleteLove the black in there!
ReplyDeleteYour string blocks are lovely. Have fun with your mindless sewing!
ReplyDeleteYour string blocks are great! Very pretty! They are going to make a spectacular quilt.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine trying to get any sewing done with kids, there are so many things you need to do with them! I barely get any sewing done here and I just have animals and they are on MY schedule!
Your blocks are simply fantastic!
ReplyDeleteLove this colourful string quilt. I have done a couple...hooked by Bonnie Hunter of course!
ReplyDeleteDuh! It took me a while to see that the black strip is the center of the block and the pales are the other half. It's magic when they come together as whole colorful squares, an on point checkerboard. Happy Thanksgiving to all your family.
ReplyDeleteI just love seeing the strings come out to play.
