ScrapHappy Saturday - Purple Passions

I didn't make much progress on setting my purple nine patches last weekend, so that will be first up this morning.  Everything is all cut and ready to sew.  Finishing up the purple row won't take long at all.
Kurt has taken two of the kiddos off to an all day Lego Robotics tournament and the third is all engrossed in her science fair project.  Looks like a good sewing day for me.

  2. Sometimes cutting takes the longest for me (plus the organizing and preparing (ironing) the scraps. Now you are set and ready for a fun sewing day. Enjoy! Oh, and Legos!!! How fun. Awesome to have a kid so involved in a science fair project too (I was like that.)

  7. Cute little nine-patches and they look so nice set in the white and black. I think it's amazing how the scraps never end. Enjoy your day of sewing.

  17. I'm so happy I decided to join - I love what I'm making and managed to hit my goal of blocks in just one day. I can't wait for the color for next month, but now that I have all my scraps together, maybe something else purple will come of of the effort? Thank you!!!

  19. You got a good start on framing those 9 patches. I'm so glad our science fair days are behind us, at least as parents of a participant. We still judge. But Drama Teen is finding there was a lot of value in having participated. She's trying to qualify for an undergraduate research position in college and the skills she learned from the projects are going into the application.
