Welcome to February. The best thing about a new month is the chance to pull out a new basket of scraps. This month's color is teal, aqua, anything between blue and green. I used to try to group these scraps in with either blue or green, but I love the fresh tropical feel that they have as a group.
Misterlinky is below. Share your plans and progress for aqua, or feel free to share the end of your purple scraps is you are still there.
I need to sit things out this week -- spent most of the week babysitting the grandson who tested positive for RSV and was not allowed to go to day care. I'll be back next week!! (hoping to have gathered my scraps together before then!)
ReplyDeleteDon't have anything to share this week. My plan is to pull out my green basket and work on those- I don't really think I have anything that qualifies as aquamarine in my stash.
ReplyDeleteAqua it is, played, sewed and organized last night, hope you find some time too.
ReplyDeleteHaving fun with my 9-patches and enjoying seeing what everyone else is doing.
ReplyDeleteThe nice thing about sea green, aqua, teal or what have you is that it does remind me of Caribbean waters and warm sunshine. We have had almost a full month where there has been little sunshine even though temperatures were above seasonal. These warm watery colours are a perfect break from the cold and snow that are settling in again.
ReplyDeleteI love this month's color! :)
ReplyDeleteSo I went with the original color suggestion of sea greens-
ReplyDeleteall lovely choices as every kind of green is my favorite!
lots of inspiration here unfortunately cannot work out how to add a photo, tried for the purple but did not get very far!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to aqua, however we are away from home for a month so I am going to be playing catch up next month! xx
ReplyDeleteI like your stack of colors!!!
ReplyDeleteTeal just makes me think of sunshine, so it's a good color for February.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to link in January, so have put both purple and aquamarine in my photo!
ReplyDeleteKathy T. in Tampa
Love this color--aqua, teal, turquoise!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration. I have more aqua and sea green than I realized!
ReplyDeleteThank you for participating in World Hijab Day. You all look fabulous in the photo. As we become more globally connected, I feel like it is increasingly important to strive toward understanding and finding commonalities with others rather than focusing on our differences. Since civilization started and spread out from the Fertile Crescent, I tell my kids that humans are all just different shades of brown and we're just really pale Africans. ;D
ReplyDeleteI love the choice of aqua and teal for February. I'm going to see if I can find some time to start working on a stretched star rainbow quilt for me that I started planning before going back to school for my BSN. I'm trying to get back into crocheting and quilting now that I'm settling into rejoining the workforce after nearly 20 yrs. at home taking care of my family.
