In honor of April Fool's day tomorrow, we are going to try to take a whack at our multicolor fabric.
We all have those great scraps that just don't fit into any of our monochromatic baskets. This is the time to dig them all out and try to use them up once and for all. Any "mixed" or "multi" prints are fair game this month. It is also your chance to try to take care of those leftovers which contain bits and pieces of multiple colors that are leftover subunits from other projects. You know the ones I mean right? The sad leftovers that can't clearly be labeled as anything else.
I know this will be a challenging month for some, but I also know that I have a huge drawer of oddballs that I would love to do something fabulous with. Good luck!
I was really hoping for orange this month. I only have a few orange kitty blocks to make and than I can put a quilt top together.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to get a little more Red done today. Not sure what I have for multi coloured fabric or what I can make. I will have to put my thinking cap on for this one.
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought it was orange until I read the post. Since I am focusing on my Bright Jane quilt for this challenge and there are no multicoloured fabrics to deal with, I think I will back up and do a few more red and aqua since I have some already prepped that did not get done. Thanks for challenging us.
ReplyDeleteHmm! Multi coloured fabrics. Time to pull out the stripes, florals and whacky prints. Should be fun.
ReplyDeleteI like it! Varigated rainbow spool blocks are in my plans for the weekend ... :) Pat
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I do have those too and I heading over there right now. Thanks Angela. Have a great weekend. ;^)
ReplyDeleteI have a bin marked "ugly". It's not really all ugly, I should have been more positive and called it multi-colored. I will be making charity quilt backs out of that bin this month! Use 'em up.
ReplyDeleteThen I wonder if this is an April Fool's joke and tomorrow you're gonna come back and say "yellow" -- "got ya". We'll see... Either way, it's all fun. Have a great weekend!
I am SUPER excited about this month's color choice!! This should be fun, fun, FUN!!!
ReplyDeleteNeed to skip this weekend's post party but I love the idea of multi color fabric getting a whole month of its own!
ReplyDeleteexcellent ... thanks...

Oh dear, and Oh Boy! :D
ReplyDeleteToo many choices for this one! That will be the challenge--what to choose. Fun though!!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I am going to go hunting and see what I have!
ReplyDeleteThis will be fun, riots of color.
ReplyDeletethis will be great fun I am doing all my blocks as crazy blocks and with a riot of colour it will be amazing I hope
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. This is going to be a fun month.
ReplyDeleteI have lots of choices for this month (well, not all are in the scrap bins, I will cut some strips off yardage). Not sure how they will fit in the ongoing projects, but it will be fun to try.
ReplyDeletePat
I do have some of those scraps laying around. But as that won't fit with this year's RSC project, I'll just use this month to play catch up. But I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else comes up with. I could use some inspiration for those scraps.
ReplyDeleteMost of my "mixed" pieces just don't appeal to me anymore so to use them up i cut a bunch into strips for future strip quilts and donated the rest. Sooo, i guess I'll do geay this month...probably the color I'd end up with if i mixed all the mixed colors together 🤔 Enjoying this rainbow challenge immensely 😀
