ScrapHappy Saturday - Really Red
It is sad not to be working on green on St. Patrick's day weekend. Still, we are still working our way through red. Unless you feel like cheating? Either way, share with us all. Misterlinky is below
I'm "cheating" -- sharing a very scrappy newly-finished quilt that perfectly illustrates our spring time weather (when it isn't cold, gray, raining, or snowing that is). I have some reds pulled for a placemat slab - maybe next week!
I get home from Florida next Saturday, so I have lots of catch up to do. No aqua got done because we left the day before the color announcement. And the only reds I've done are a string block. I need to go into overdrive to get ahead before the yardwork takes over. But since I hear we're smothered in snow, I guess I'll have some time.
Red has been fun but also an education, for it seems that I have much less red in my stash than other colors. So...thanks for the reason to purchase, ahem, more fabric!!! thatfabricfeeling.com
All that snow completely disrupted my sewing this week. I didn't get a single scrap of ANY color sewn... At least I have the joy of seeing what everyone else got to work on!
I really like that red plaid in your scrappy stash. Hope you had a fun St. Pat's Day.
ReplyDeleteI was waiting for the color red so I can continue quilting with you.
ReplyDeleteYou had a great reds on your scraps bin. Happy Quilting Day!
I seem to have fewer red scraps than seafoam but the month is flying by, so I need to dig deeper, lol! :)
ReplyDeletePlaids!!! You have plaids!!! I can tell that you are itching to stitch with them!!! ;-)

ReplyDeleteLovely plaids. Now what will they become. Hope you had a fantastic St. Patrick's Day.
ReplyDeleteFunny I was thinking the same thing about green, however glad to get these red blocks done and play with fabric no matter what colour.
ReplyDeleteNo cheating here--still working with reds like you are. Looking at your pile of reds, it looks like you'll be sewing with them awhile!
ReplyDeleteI finished all my reds required for my LeMoyne Star quilt-I have to be gone next Sat. so I needed to put it in high gear!

ReplyDeleteCheating? Whaaat? Cheating, as in, working ahead?? LOL. I might be doing that.

I laughed at your cheating by working on green. I made tulips so I had to dig out green to use with my Red. Hope you get to sew this week.
