Nothing is better than a lazy Sunday! As much as I picture summer vacation as a long string of lazy days, it never seems to work out that way. I have gotten a lot done though, so a day of rest is definitely a great plan. Today I will iron.
Most of my stitching so far this summer has been on the slow and steady hand work variety. In fact, I really should get some more hexies ready to go. We have a trip to Yellowstone coming up and there will be quite a bit of traveling time to get some more blocks sewn together. If you want to see what other handwork is keeping everyone busy, head over to Kathy's quilts to see lots of lovely slow stitching.
I will trim
And I will continue to add more blue hexies to the wall. Slowly and steadily, the blue dorm room quilt is coming together. Pretty blue hexies! Love the white side!
ReplyDeleteOh maybe I could make a hexie quilt if I looked at is as a color a month You got me thinking Lovely projects you have going there
ReplyDeleteI love what you are doing with the blue hexies. I have a whole box of blue hexies made, but don’t know what to do with them yet.
ReplyDeleteironing pieces can be very therapuetic - the hexies are so colorful and I like the shape
ReplyDeleteI just love your diamond hexies in rainbow colors! They are really appealing and fun to look at!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE all your blue hexi's on the wall. :) :)
ReplyDeleteI'm lovin' on your blue hexi quilt in progress and have stared at it for a few minutes ( a couple of times at least) trying to figure out just how it's done and whether it's something that I could do... I've decided that it's too complicated for me so I'll just sit back and 'watch' as you assemble it for your daughter.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing :)
Love both projects. You're so lucky to be able to stitch in the car. I get so carsick even at my advanced age. Happy Fourth!
ReplyDeleteLove your hexie project! Definitely get on the prep work... it's so boring but necessary for a bit trip!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to Slow Sunday Stitching!
Yellowstone is on our someday list.... let us know how it is! Beautiful choice for her dorm quilt. Those rainbow hexagons are looking lovely.
ReplyDeleteI am always worried about losing an needle when stitching in the car. I tend to prefer knitting or crochet in the car. Your fabrics and projects are very pretty.
ReplyDeleteLove both hexie projects!
