The colors for May will be sage and forest green.
We got a lot done today. Here are some before photos as we are not in a Wi-Fi rich zone here. We cleared out lots of rubbish, though there is still lots to do. We pressure washed and took down a chicken coop and spread lots of mulch.
We made a burn pit and had a huge fire, though there is still more to go. It was wonderfully relaxing even though we are both tired and sore from hauling rocks and wood and random bits of everything. We met our new neighbor and learned how to get to town and back. Tomorrow is back to real life again, but it has been fun living in the mountains for the weekend.
It is invigorating to be outdoors and use those large muscle groups after periods of relative inactivity. And new home/cabin ownership is a strong motivating force! The area looks beautiful and I wish you years and years of happiness there!
ReplyDeletelooks like someone left a lot of trash behind - more to clean up for another day!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting a good start on the mountain house, Angela!! Green? Sage and forest? I can work with that. Thanks! :o))
ReplyDeletesoothing colors,I'm still catching up on colors but getting there! I've noticed some are making a quilt a month with the monthly color,I use to think that's a lot of quilts & now that bugs bit me too 🤣I've got my rainbow, plus a red one going & have a pink quilt on the brain lol
ReplyDeleteThere is something relaxing about being in the woods even if you have to work on it. The smell of a fire is also gratifying while you watch the rubbish burn!
ReplyDeleteWow! You got a lot done in a short time!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info, I better get cutting and stitching now!
ReplyDeleteWhew! That was a lot of work! Where is this? I was thinking VA somewhere. Sorry reality has to return. Ha!
ReplyDeleteWoah! That's quite a challenge you've taken on! It must be very satisfying to have made a start on clearing the place and making it your own :-)
