ScrapHappy Saturday - Weekend of Calm

There was way too much going on this week, so having absolutely nothing to do on the weekend will be completely enjoyable.  The morning sun is shining on the design wall, inviting me to add more blocks.   The plus and star blocks have been leaders and enders as the bulk on my sewing has been focused on Mini blocks and binding.   There should be another finished quilt to celebrate before the end of the day and I have a few more little block ideas to add to the growing collection.

The house is in a bit of shambles with Kurt being sick all week and the dog quickly declining.   I will be traveling for work next week hopefully while a new desk is delivered and set up in my office.  It has been on order since June, but delays have piled up at every step.   Kurt's office had new furniture delivered last week as well, while he was home with the flu.

For now though, I have seen a couple of antique tile blocks.  One was by Angie at Quilting on the Crescent, and the other was a mini version I saw on Instagram.

What are your plans for the weekend? Please use misterlinky below to share with us all.

  2. I'm sorry to hear Kurt has been sick and your dog, too. Those don't make for a fun week at all. Have a restful weekend and hopefully it includes some sewing!

  4. Sorry to hear that Kurt was sick and your pup isn't doing well. Here's hoping you don't bring home a souvenir from your upcoming business trip! Enjoy your low-key weekend, Angela.

  9. Love the light shining on your design wall. We had a bit of sunshine today...and then some light snow...and then the rain returned. I much prefer the bright sun when working on my projects. Happy quilting! -Andrea

  10. Sorry to hear Kurt has been sick. Sometimes quiet time is the best remedy. It doesn't really sound like a good time for a business trip but I guess that's just how it goes. Take care.

  11. Pretty blue blocks. We've had rain the last days, thunderstorms predicted today too. I need to do some gardening, but not when it's wet! I shall see.... I think I'll continue stitching 'Over the River...' and cut some more fabric for the quilts. Sewing machine will be home after the weekend, can't wait!

  13. I meant to do your color of the month and actually made 12 different blocks, then realized I followed someone else and it was a different color and the other person doesn't do link ups, so I don't know if I should link up this month or not (with pink) and then just join you next month!?
