I have to admit that it doesn't feel like fall around here yet. School is in full swing though, so that makes it feel a lot les like summer. I seem to have a lot of blue and green on the wall. Why then are all of those scrap bins still overflowing? I think this is why people do monochromatic quilts.
I have a beautiful all green quilt that I made using Bonnie Hunter's Jamestown Landing pattern. I could easily make an all blue quilt from what is hanging out in my sewing room right now. First though, I think that I will scavenge through this stack and make some hexies. I have a flight tomorrow for a trip to present at a conference in New Orleans and I will have some time to sew while in transit. How is your weekend shaping up? New months are full of new plans. I hope you have some scraps to work with.

600 miles makes a big difference, Angela! We are definitely getting some hints of Autumn in the air here in central North Carolina. The nights have been cooler and we've even had a few cool days. Your temps will cool down... eventually. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteI can always make more with my blue and green scraps, too! Your different kinds of four patches are making a fun design on your wall, Angela. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYou are always so very busy! I applaud your energy and drive! I really enjoy your blog. I used to be very busy while teaching and raising four children. Now I'm 77 and very retired. I quilt, I read, I take lots of walks, and I nap, and I cross stitch, and do a little knitting. I try to stay away from too much political news. The less stress the better for me. But I sort of miss those teaching years...sort of.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Your blocks are looking great. I think that I'll always have scraps to work with, since they seem to reproduce when I'm not watching. Have a good week.
