End of the Red Month

Everyone seems to have enjoyed making lots of beautiful red scrap creations. Feel free to post a link below to a post about your red projects. March will be GREEN in honor of Saint Patrick's day and (hopefully) the emergence of new green growth in the spring. So go grab some green and start thinking about what you can make. Remember, mother nature mixes ALL greens with reckless abandon -- we can do the same!

  1. Yippie!
    I just started to make a quilt using green - not scraps, but the even smaller "crumbs". I have posted some pics of how I do a "crumbquilt", and today I am working on how to put it together. Welcome to read more in my blog - use auto-translation, I blog in swedish!

    Thank you for the "kick in the behind" - I am slowly but surely using up my stash of scraps and now crumbs, and it is so much fun!

  3. I think I might even be able to find some green in my scraps. Hopefully I can. Otherwise it might be another shopping trip for me.

  6. great! I have a set of scrappy green blocks that just got sewn together a couple of weeks ago and I will work on borders and quilting... and then I know there's a box of more green scraps waiting for me!

  7. Yea, I love green. Next to blue, I have a ton of green. This month should be much easier for me.

  8. Oh my word, I've got so much green scraps that I'm going to have my work cut out again this month. I've already started cutting out two and a half inch squares to make some disappearing nine patch blocks to make a quilt for Christopher's aunt who's about to have an operation. So that will be some of the scraps accounted for in a fairly simple way. After that, who knows. More words?

  9. I love greens!!!! Green Beauty and Shades of Green are my proof. Gotta get busy seeing what pattern to use some greens up on {{although Blue Ridge Beauty is still on the quilting frame and Red Blossoms is up on the design wall}}

    Gosh----we need more time for quilting!!!!!

  10. I made my Nearly Insane quilt in all different greens, so I have lots of scraps. It's really fun to see what everyone is doing with their monthly projects.

  16. I just refound your blog after totally not knowing where it was. I think I clicked to it after you commented on Monday design walls...) anyway. Congratulations on the new job, I assume it is full time as compared to the previous part time one? It sounds like a teacher's dream. Hopefully you'll have an hour a weekend (or more) to actually get in and sew. I haven't done your color challenge (see above) but you never know. Hope you can keep the blog going. Bonnie/Va.
