Partying in Pink

My ScrapHappy Saturday will have to happen on Sunday this week.  I have a basket of pink scraps patiently waiting, though it seems to have been invaded with a few other colors from my little house building escapade last weekend.  I thought about getting a head start yesterday, but ended up driving in around all evening shuffling kids here and there before going to see my schools spring musical.  Today is Girl Scout Camporee and it will be nice not to be in charge of anything for a change.  Sydney's troop is only going for the day and she will probably want me to stay with her, though I hope I can sneak out long enough to go to the quilt show that the local guild has every other year.  I keep wanting to get more involved with quilters around here, but time never seems to be open for it right now.  This evening I am signed up to sleep over with Anna's troop, they were supposed to camp last night as well but a huge rainstorm had them all scattering for home in the evening hours. Right now I need to get everyone packed and loaded and start another round of driving in circles.
So, hopefully tomorrow will find some time for sewing.  How about you?  Any pink masterpieces in the works? Use the linky below to post your progress, don't forget to check out the other links to see what everyone else is up to so far.

  1. I can't believe I'm the first here today, LOL...
I hope you are having a wonderful time out with your girls today Angela :) They grow up oh so quickly. I don't know how you find the time to do so much.

  3. I remember those days on the run.
Bless your heart. Nice pile of scraps. My scrap box is overflowing. It's difficult to say if this challenge is helping at this point. haha

  4. Have fun on your outings! I remember Girl Scout camp was a blast. I've had some fun with the pink, but I'm sure I'll do more.

  5. I spent 2 days this week with the Mister Linky Helpy guy trying to figure out why I couldn't link up. It's fixed now and I'm linked up! Yea!

  7. I've pulled out the pink scraps, but that's as far as I've gotten. I love all of the string blocks that are showing up in the rainbow challenge. Enjoy the time with your girls; hope the weather cooperates for your sleepover.

  8. I am always amazed that I have very little pink fabric. It is one of my favorite colors and yet doesn't seem to be what I buy. I haven't taken part in your ScrapHappy Saturdays, but I do enjoy following along and seeing what has been done.

  9. Nothing pink on this end of the world. When the kids are that age, you don't have much time to yourself, but give it a few more years, and you will have LOTS of ME time. I took a vacation from my sewing room for 8 years, without meaning too. Life just got in the way. I hope your not away for that long.

  10. It's funny to see that I'm not the only one surprised to discover that I don't have much pink. Have fun at camp - those scraps aren't going anywhere... :)

  11. I heard a story on NPR this week about Girl Scouts. It brought back fond memories of my days in scouting. May all your memories be fond ones!

  13. I was thinking of you guys as it was raining down and was hoping you were not getting it at your campout. Hope everything dries out and you get to play with some pink scraps sometime this week.

  14. Well I surprised myself by making something pink and frilly. Underneath all the frilly froth the scrappy block was quite a disaster, so had to rescue it with all the lacy embellishments. No idea what I'll do with it but by the end of the year it will find a home. :0)
