February is going to be a purple month for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. I've been working diligently at purple blocks already My strategy is to finish off the purple Dear Jane blocks early in the month and then use the rest of my time to sew the extras from those blocks into my other RSC13 projects. This one is called Maze of Madness. Good name I think, for a block with lots of little bitty bits. Use the linky below to share and purple progress or plans.
Wow! I love it! What a fabulous block!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty block! I love it in purple. Thanks so much for having this link up every Saturday.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful block and purple will be fun to work with this month!
ReplyDeleteWell, I think it will take this week to sort out my purple scraps from 3 big boxes.
ReplyDeleteP.S. - I like your block. It looks rather celtic in nature.
ReplyDeleteIm scrapping the bottom of the scrap box for purples but it gave me a chance to tidy my boxes (never a bad thing) Really like the Maze of Madness block - my trouble is I want to go and have a go at that now!!
ReplyDeleteYou didn't say how many pieces are in this Maze of Madness block. I like it! Yes. I agree. It does look celtic.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to and enjoy your Saturday posts of rainbow progress links. Thank you.
Your purple DJ block is so striking. Great way to start purple month. I have also enjoyed all the lovely linkys so far. Time to go sew some scrappy purple blocks myself. Thanks for all the inspiration ... :) Pat
ReplyDeleteI've got my scraps pulled and I'm getting ready to sew!
ReplyDeleteI remember making that block - it was intricate but rewarding and turned out so nice. It is one of my favorite blocks in the quilt. Of course, I made mine in blue :*D
ReplyDeleteWe've got snow on the ground this morning, so I'll be cuddled up in my Ivory Tower all day playing in my purple scraps!
Last month, the pink turned out to be much more than I expected, and I think the purple scraps are significantly fewer than I expected!
ReplyDeleteLove your purple block - it looks like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteAngela, I had a bit of trouble and I may have linked twice - sorry if I did!
I could hardly wait to get going on the purple! I have even trimmed up the pinwheels already...LOL I need to slow down so I have purple stuff to post all month, lol!
ReplyDeleteMaze of Madness looks quite interesting - I think it will make a great rainbow sampler!
ReplyDeleteGood plan Angela and I love your Maze of Madness.
ReplyDeleteThe Maze of Madness is a neat block. I'm picturing it in several colors- it could look 3D.
ReplyDeleteAnother great purple Dear Jane block. I was 24th today. Thanks for hosting again.
ReplyDeleteI've linked - but it's not purple sorry!
ReplyDeleteWow, a very intricate block. I like your strategy of finishing your Dear Jane blocks for the month, then using the scraps in your other projects. Haven't really had a weekend at home were I could get the paper piecing started for my RSC.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if I've done this right but happy to sign up and I'll post a purple (one of my favourite colours) something on Saturday
