I am really loving these rainbow sampler blocks! 6 inches is such a quick and versatile size. It is fun to see other people making the same blocks in different fabrics. It is amazing how well they all work together just because they are blue. I know there are lots of other blue projects going on this month. Last week we had a great showing!

Happy Saturday Angela and everyone :) Angela, your blue scrappy blocks are looking wonderful! Looking forward to seeing everyone else's blue scrap projects.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are coming along really nicely. I need to find some lighter blue scraps.
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed seeing what other people have been up to with their blue scraps. I'm hoping to feel well enough in the next day or so to dig out some blue scraps and join in the fun. I particularly like the scissor holder, very useful.
ReplyDeleteYour 6" sampler blocks look great together. It is fun to see everyone's version in their own fabrics.

ReplyDeleteStill more to come before the month ends.
Very fun checking to see what others are doing with their scraps . . .
I love your idea to make sampler blocks!!! They are looking so darn cute!!! It would be so much fun to sew along, but I really want to get the owls and kitties done this year :*)
ReplyDeleteI really like your blue sampler but I still after all these years have not completed the Farmer's Wife Sampler so won't sew along this year. I made plans to use the various sized scraps in different ways.

ReplyDeleteCute 6.5" sampler blocks, Angela : )
ReplyDeleteI love this rainbow challenge. It's fun to make a few blocks from scraps each week. Doesn't take a lot of time. At the end of the year it's easy to pull those blocks and sew them together for a quick, colorful quilts. It feels like a free quilt!
I'm wondering why I didn't start doing this years ago. It busts fabric and scraps, and is tons of fun. Thanks for hosting and inspiring.
ReplyDeleteAm really enjoying the whole process of sharing progress on using up those scraps.

ReplyDeleteI like both the 'assigned' blocks and the 'do your own thing' blocks. Over the year I plan to do some of each. The 6-inch Ohio Star is probably next on my list. I have my favorites. :-) Your blocks are looking good.
ReplyDeleteLove to see what sort of scrappy projects we are all working on and looking forward to the colour for February!
