I did a few sampler blocks this month.
Worked on a few little nine patches
Even finished the yellow Dear Jane blocks.
Which meant a little paper piecing
And some more paper piecing
And then tiny paper piecing
Followed by a few awkward inset seams with reverse applique.
Yellow is done though, and I am looking forward to a new color for July.
Hope you are all finishing off your June scraps. There are still a couple of days to finish things off though before July gives us a fresh new start and a new color to enjoy.
Marly has suggested that we all pull out our rainbow collections so far this year and take a photo of our blocks to celebrate the halfway point of the year. What a great idea! Wednesday is the day that the year will be halfway done. I will put up an extra linky this week on Wednesday for anyone who wants to share a group shot of sampler blocks or of RSC collections for the year so far.

I think I added my link correctly. It should show a blue and yellow or yellow and blue quilt.
ReplyDeleteOnly one scrappy post from me this month as I've only now started my blocks. Slightly behind this month, never mind xx
ReplyDeleteLooks like you accomplished a lot. Your DJ blocks are so darling but look too complex for me!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to new color too!
Isn't it wonderful to be on vacation. So much more time to do what you want and love to do.
ReplyDeleteThose Dear Jane blocks are wonderful. Thank heavens for paper piecing - can't imagine making some of the more complex blocks otherwise.
You have been busy! I have mostly been sharing updates of my four RSC projects as I go along, but since I still have yellow Briar Patch blocks to make before the month ends, Wednesday's update will give a chance to share them with the group.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for a Wednesday half way check in. I'll do a post of all the colors so far.
ReplyDeleteI like the Wednesday idea. Also looking forward to what color July will bring. Happy Stitching!
ReplyDeleteI linked up with my yellow for June.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing what color will be for July and continuing my colors with my hexagons.
Seems like a great motivation for me to get the hexagons continually worked on.
I'll be linking up Wednesday too! THanks for hosting the linky! It will be fun to see everyone's progress so far!
ReplyDeleteI think I'd like to see all the other blocks made. Come on Wednesday
ReplyDeleteA mid-year linkup will be fun!!! I love all your DJ blocks - each one brings back memories of when I made mine. Such a special quilt!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to July! And love the idea of sharing RSC projects to date!
ReplyDeleteOh I love the idea of a half way link up. I haven't laid all my Sampler blocks out for a couple of months now so it will be fun to see them all together.
ReplyDeleteGreat yellow blocks and so many
ReplyDeleteI don't usually buy yellow fabric for whatever reason so I didn't have many scraps. I really enjoyed using t I had so there may be more yellow in my future.
ReplyDeleteUp to date with my cats and looking forward to finding out your choice of colour for July. Be great to see all your sampler blocks!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a very successful month of yellow stitching.
