I got the blocks for Cherry Blossoms sewn together! I worked the borders through as leaders and enders while the rows were being joined, and so those are almost done as well. I think the pattern calls for both inner and outer borders. Those will need some time to ponder I think.

ReplyDeleteI am working on finishing a New Year's Eve 2011 mystery. I am going to be gone part of October and I have a quilt to finish for a Christmas gift and a baby quilt first. But I think I can get the mystery UFO to a flimsy by the end of the year.
ReplyDeleteI definitely plan to finish my large Scrap Scramble quilt design by Carol doak. I got it sandwiched and basted this past week, which included piecing the back and batting. I am anxious to start quilting on it!
ReplyDeleteWorking right now on a quilt for my partner's birthday on the 24th of this month--that's definitely the next one that needs to get finished.
ReplyDeleteI plan to quilt and bind a QOV quilt that has been sitting on my workable waiting for me for far too long.
ReplyDeleteI just need to finish my Halloween cat hanging that just needs bound...
ReplyDeleteOMGosh, I love your Cherry Trees with the dark green setting triangles and the purple sashing. What a beautiful quilt.
ReplyDeleteYou made a lot of progress on the Cherry Tree blocks. It's going to be a beautiful quilt. I really like those border blocks.
ReplyDeleteThe next UFO off the list will be the Layer Cake Quilt along project. It just needs to be trimmed and the binding added, so hopefully by the end of the month.
Your Cherry Blossoms is looking fabulous. Isn't it great when you do the leader/ender bit and when you are done with the top, the borders is almost done!
ReplyDeleteI dragged out an embroidery from my UFO basket which I had intended to get done before life caught up with me. I stitched it many years ago, and I am planning a little wall hanging. Really hoping that I can get that finished this month.
The UFO the I plan to finish by the end of the year is an unfinished potholder!

ReplyDeletethe day after my mother's funeral, I fell and broke my arm. That means I can't use a rotary cutter. But I can tear fabric to sew together and make backings! So I dug through my UFO top basket and pulled out 5 tops, made backings and quilted them.
ReplyDeleteI had to pull out 5 more, and have a top from around 2007 from an Alex Anderson's BOM project. It is a house, and I have no memory of what the name of the project was.
It is 1/2 the way done on the long arm. And the others are lined up to get finished.
In the next few weeks I will have TEN to bind! Ugh!
Cherry Blossom looks real good. Great progress done. I wish my UFO was coming along that fast. I hope to finish Garden Fence that I started in 2013. ;^)

I plan to finish off Carolina Chain from Bonnie Hunter. Going on retreat this weekend and plan to make lots more RSC little monkey blocks - eventually to be a big bed quilt for my GD.
ReplyDeleteI plan to work on my 8.5" Eye of God blocks. I need either 9 or 12 blocks for a small quilt. Because I accidentally missed some months, I need to figure out which ones and catch up.
ReplyDeleteOh my. Your Cherry Blossom quilt is coming along beautifully. That pattern is now on my bucket list.
I plan to finish up my QBSA Scrappy Lonestar Quilt..I'm in the binding phase now..yippee!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win some of this beautiful fabric (especially as I used all the brown I had on last year's RSC!).
ReplyDeleteI only have one real UFO that's been languishing for the last two years. But there is a mini I finished piecing a couple on months ago - Sarah Fielke's pattern "Drawn Together" - and plan to hand quilt this month.
The next UFO I will be working on is called X's and O's for Xavier. It has been waiting a very long time to be completed. Since I can never do just 1 at a time, I will also try to finish Chris' quilt.
ReplyDeleteI hope to finish my "wonky 9-patch" quilt. I just need a nice day so I can spray baste it outside.
ReplyDeleteI plan to finish a baby quilt - it just needs the rest of the quilting and a binding. The delay is that I'm quilting the whole thing in pebbles, so it is taking a while.
ReplyDeleteI am working on quilting my "bricks" quilt I started a couple of years ago. Binding is ready to go. I just need time to finish quilting it. delch81@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI'm working on 'Rainbow'. 24Tangent@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteMy mom's "Primavera" or Spring quilt. Hopefully for Christmas. Phyllis ptl1957@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteI'm getting close to finishing my niece Paige's quilt...a girly pink confection which has been in the works so long that it was previously intended for her sister, who has since decided that she "cannot stand" pink. Luckily, younger sister loves pink now, so the quilt will be welcomed warmly. (By the way, Paige's sister wasn't talking about the quilt when she made the statement about hating pink. Lucky for me, the quilts are "surprises".)
ReplyDeleteCherry Blossoms is incredible....and you have been very focused in your finish. My next UFO is binding my 2014 Country Threads BOM.
ReplyDeleteI made lots of nine patches 16 years ago, finally put the top together summer of 2014, quilted it over Christmas and there it sits in the bag, right where I set it down. This quilt's for me. Isn't it funny how other projects take precedence? Or is it just mine? All I have to do is put the binding on so I think I'll put that one on my list to do.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving this RSC sampler. Thanks for doing it!! I'm going to a retreat next weekend and hope to finish my Judy Niemeyer Bali Wedding Star. (But I am also going to take my sampler blocks and use a design wall to put together as many rows as I can.)
ReplyDeleteworking on my thanksgiving turkey table runner . it has been put back for a while i searched for the hopefully perfect border.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to finish my hexi project next. Next is a bit of a relative term, since this is hand pieced and will take several months. I'll probably finish other projects first, but none of them are UFOs.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to finish my blue and white Goose on the Pond quilt! also a very modern 'chain' quilt by Jessica Smith at Quilt Woman and at The Quilt and Needle since I have another mystery of hers I haven't picked up yet!
ReplyDeleteI'm working on a "Daughter" quilt for my daughter!
ReplyDeleteThis month I'm planning on finishing up my son's quilt, "Rob's Marble Maze"! I started it last year, put it away for the holidays and never touched it again. It WILL be finished!
