Sydney and her friend Sarah made cookies today. I hope I can also convince them to clean up a little bit?
I was in the formal living room quilting madly. SEW many straight lines. They all started to blur after a while. Each block got a little quilt scribble. Lots of teardrops and swirly stars, a few wobbly lines. Just enough to hold everything in place and even out the puffiness of the batting.
When I got tired of standing, I made up some binding for Hawaii Sunset. Hand stitching it will make a nice relaxing evening plan. Eventually though, I got to the final row of the 6 inch sampler quilt. TaDa! Now I guess it is back to binding again. Yeah! A reason to sit some more. While I was quilting, and quilting, and quilting, I had a brilliant idea as to how to rearrange the sewing room to keep the frame set up to full length all the time. I will let you know if it works. It sure would be easier than taking over most of the house.
That's a heck of a lot of cookies to keep everyone going over Christmas! I have said before how much I love your Hawaii Sunset - I now feel the same about your sampler quilt.
ReplyDeleteI hope your idea works for you - having easy access makes a huge difference. Look how many quilts you have finished since moving to the living room and extending it to the full length!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of cookies. They should last all thru the holidays. Your Hawaii Sunset quilt is stunning. Gorgeous colors. I am working on a sampler quilt but am still on my blocks....not anywhere near where you are. Don’t see your little boo-boo Santa in there...hehehe.
ReplyDeleteWow, one down and another ready. You had a really productive day.
