ScrapHappy Saturday #4 - Playing with Purple

I hope you are all enjoying purple this month. Today is your last weekend day to play with purple scraps. Hopefully you can start to see the bottom of the purple bin by now? Don't forget that our special end of the month finishing celebration is coming up soon. There will be an extra linky party starting Tuesday for anyone who has finished a RSC quilt. Be sure to check back then for lots of great motivation and inspiration.
Work has kept me hopping this week and I haven't had much time to sneak off to the sewing room.  So glad to have a weekend ahead to find some time to putter around with purple.

  1. It was a great purple block month!
Always eager to head into the next color, though!

  2. I still have lots of purple scraps, but that's OK they'll get used at some point.

  3. I still have purple scraps but that's ok -- I put together the things I wanted to get done this month and those extra scraps are the seeds for next year! (and I'm happy to say that I DO have a project to share in Tuesday's link-fest!)

  4. Haha! I have a ton of purple left in my scrap bin. Luckily, I'm a scrappy quilter. And almost all my quilts are scrappy. So they will get used up. Thanks for hosting this challenge again.

  5. This is going to be fun. For my block, it won't use a lot of scraps but every bit helps.
I can't seem to upload a link to my Flickr. Can you help?

  6. Hi, and I am excited about being in this group. I checked out the blogs that have been linked and was so impressed by what everyone is doing. If you look at mine, you will see it is red rather than purple, that was my silly mistake. I will do purple when red is the color for the month.

  9. OK - This is the first time for me - having problems in doing the link.
What am I doing wrong, I filled in the form, hit next, a box came up, I selected a picture and nothing. Will try something else. Any suggestions?

  13. NO bottom to my purple bin in sight. Guess I'll have to take on some bigger projects for that to happen.

  15. I am a little closer to the bottom of the purple bin of scraps, but there are still a lot of scraps in there and low and behold I'm finished with looking at my purples this month. Glad you get to find some time to quilt this weekend - me too!

  16. I still have several ounces of purple, but it is my smallest bin so I feel good about it. Plus, you have inspired me to set last years blocks! Enjoy your quilty time!

  17. Sorry, I too had a really hard time getting the link to work. So that black blob up there actually ends up linking to my flickr, but no way could I get the image to appear. Sorry about that!

  19. I wanted to drop by and thank you, too, for continuing on with the RSC this year. I think so many of us would really miss it and you! And look at the participation!! After looking and studying your quilts (finished and in progress), I think a worthy personal goal for myself this year will be to experiment with settings for the blocks/quilts. Time to stretch beyond the basics. Thanks for your ongoing inspiration!
