Not a lot of scraphappiness quite yet, but it is definitely next on the
list. I did finish Sydney's valance though and spend the morning with a
girl friend planning out a t-shirt son for her son to take to college
with him next month. She had already chosen the blocks and ironed on the interfacing, so all the tedious work was done. We just squared the blocks up and finalized the layout. I will probably sew the blocks together when we get back from vacation. Sierra is in the picture (Hi Sierra!), her brother Kyle is the one headed off to college. After that we took the kids all out to breakfast.
Here is Sydney's valance refinished and hung up again. It was hard to get a good photo with all the sun, but I am happy to have it up again. The closet curtain is next. We gave up on those silly bi-fold closet doors years ago when Sydney was in her hanging on things phase, but somehow the curtain never quite got made. It will be zebra with teal trim, I just have to figure out the logistics. When we moved in I made shower curtains for two of the bathrooms, I'm guessing it will all come back as soon as I start.

Looking at the picture, I'm thinking there's too much gray/white in the lower left and upper right corners. How about swapping the Viera PE shirt with the green West Melbourne School, and the blue Robosharks with the round orange Reveal shirt?
At least your sewing! The valance is looking good - even with that problematic sun shining through it! LOL
Your friend's son is going to love his quilt! You are such a good friend to help make it all happen.
T-shirt quilts are fun, but boy are they heavy!
She is a VERY good friend!!!
