I almost completely forgot about ScrapHappy Saturday this week! Days of the week feel very different during summer break. I went out bright and early for a run with my good friend Meisje and then took the kids to catch up on the power lifting session that we missed on Friday morning after the turtle walk. It wasn't until I showered and finally sat down to check on e-mail that it occurred to me that it was Saturday and I hadn't posted a linky party! So sorry!
Speaking of blog business, I used the random number generator at Random.org to choose a winner for this month's hand dyed fabric giveaway sponsored by the generous Vicki Welsh. The lucky winner this month is Julie in Georgia who blogs at Julie's Quilts and Costumes.
I have just a few more yellow blocks to work on today. I don't want to get too carried away with yellow because it can be a bit much in large quantities. I've also been working ahead though to make sure I have enough blocks to finish up the quilt this year even when school starts to get crazy again as it most certainly will. You can check out upcoming blocks on my Pinterest page as long as you don't try to figure out which colors are coming up based on the order of the blocks. I am trying to keep you all guessing, though that gets harder as we use up more of the colors of the rainbow. What yellow projects do you have going on today? Use misterlinky to keep us all posted on your progress.

No problems. Your being later gave me the chance to be first, for a change! Enjoy your free time with the family.
Not to worry! It is hard to keep track during the summer--different routine. Wonder what will happen when it's time to retire? Have a great weekend!
Have a great rainbow stitching weekend!
It sounds like you're still keeping busy! Thanks for all the wonderful block tutorials you post. I have a few selected to work on!
It's hard to imagine that June is closing in so quickly. I will miss the yellows.
I thought maybe you had slept in after your turtle adventure.
It has been really busy at our house, too -- haven't played with my own yellows yet, but I do have some awesome yellows to share!
i am with you.... what day is which - summer is too fun!! Love all the yellow projects... Just found my yellow scraps - so to get busy ;-)
I think a lot of us are having a difficult time with what day of the week it is this week! Hope you have a great weekend. Thanks so much for hosting this link up.
Fingers crossed I posted this correctly this week LOL!
I'm a teacher also. What grade/subject do you teach? From my first year of teaching my mantra has always been: Summer always comes. I know how it is with how much less we can quilt during a school year. Having fun with your kids is precious and I always anticipated summer time to spend with them, like you do.
I'm just glad you hostess such a fun event every week :) I definitely get more done because I'm trying to get blocks done to link up with RSC. I love your sampler blocks, and from the looks of the number popping up on other blocks, so does everyone else too :)
I'm very excited to be the winner this month. I love Vicki's hand-dyed fabrics! Thanks for hosting this challenge every week. It's so much fun to see everyone's projects.
Do you count black as a colour? When I was hunting out yellows I realised I had quite a bit of black in the scrap bin but I wondered whether you include it.
Still having so much fun with the blocks!!
I finally posted my link. At least I think I did. It doesn't seem to be showing up. I'm looking forward to next month's color. I'm already running out of yellow.
Love yellow and so pleased you chose this colour for June but you know when pulling fabrics I realised I don't have too many yellows - perhaps a who[ing trip is needed! Looking forward to the colour for July
I look forward to linking up tomorrow finally......and then next month I can link up each week with the progress I am making on whatever the next color is.
