As I rush around madly with end of the year wrap up for school, I am certainly envious of people with a full day of quality quilting time to look forward to. Not to worry though, my time is coming soon enough.
I'm a substitute teacher that helps cover long term leaves. I too am being pulled in all directions with lesson plans, grades, and covering for more than one teacher (but I LOVE it because I get to see more kids AND the day goes super fast.) But I am counting down the days -- TWELVE days of school left for this district in Ohio -- TWELVE!!! Can't wait for summer sewing AND longarm quilting AND more finishes! This school year will be over with a blink of an eye.
Although it's been years since I was in the classroom, I still remember the mountain of work as year end drew near. I, however, would have to say that I had till the end of June for that to come. May, now that warmer weather arrived, was always field trips and outings - a different kind of busyness. Is there ever a quiet time when teaching? Hope you find a few minutes to yourself today.
I love green for this month. It so suits this time of year. After you struggle with closing out the year of school, I hope you get to enjoy relaxing and time sewing.
