I saw my cardinal again today after my run. We tried out a new trail that connects our houses and the local zoo. It was beautifully brisk and sunny. So nice to get in a few miles since I haven't been running much since the last half marathon.
Here he is hiding in the bushes, though he didn't stay away for long, he was back up and pecking at the side mirror as soon as I was in the car.
May is all quilted up on Leap Year, and I'm ready to start hand quilting August. Still green, but it will be nice to get closer to the edge.
I've made a nice start on sorting through the red scraps and managed to make more in blue from recent quilt borders and backings.
The strips and squares are all beautifully tidy and being put to use already, but large chunks and strings are still in need of attention.
I used a nice stack of crumbs to make a storage box for red scraps. I had made one earlier for green and blue, so red makes a nice addition to the collection. I've dumped all of the small strings and crumbs in these, so they should be handy.

Love your storage boxes - do you have a link to the pattern?
I love being able to sort my scraps right into their color bin as I cut. I love your scrappy little baskets. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
Very happy storage boxes for scraps!
Enjoy your hand quilting!
I think that's key to using scraps --- organized by color. Your circle quilt is lovely.
I really like the storage boxes for the crumbs. What a clever idea!
