A new month at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge means a new color and we are ready to do a deep dive into purple!
I wish I could claim to have made great progress on green. These three tiny green blocks tell a different story. I do have plenty of pieces cut for plus blocks and sawtooth stars, so they will continue as leaders and enders while I sort through purple.
I think that April will still be busy at work with dual enrollment things, but May will have to slow down as most of my time will be devoted to monitoring standardized tests. Our school district has had quite a week with two principals and a guidance counselor all arrested for driving drunk last weekend and then the interim superintendent being put on leave on Tuesday. It is all quite a mess, but it isn't my mess and I will keep doing what I do. Prom was last night, we still have senior projects and grad bash to get through, and of course, graduation. Seniors are making their college choices now and it is always exciting for them to plan the next steps.

I don't see a way to link up.
These last two months of the school year are always the busiest! Wishing you smooth sailing, and a little time to play with your purple scraps!
Oh my - that really WAS a crazy week for your school district. Yikes! Hopefully you'll come through these last weeks of the school year with your sanity intact. Graduation was the big event I was "in charge" of for many years. Seems like there was always drama of some sort - usually from moms who didn't like the seating, or some other detail. LOL
Three GREEN blocks are better than one, Angela. Keep on keeping on! Sorry to hear about the upheaval in your school district. What a mess!
Oh my... so much drama in your district! Smart people making bad choices. Hope things settle down and you get some stable leadership asap.
Looking forward to diving into purple!
Wow, it sounds bizarre at your school! We once had a principal arrested for trying to steal liquor by putting a whiskey bottle in his pants. (How did he think that would work?) Hang in there.
I have been following this for a couple years and for various reason never started to make actually make blocks. While I only got 2 green ones and 2 blue ones, I hope to be able to link up soon 😊
I'm sure you will catch up during the summer months. Enjoy! ;^)
Angela, you are such a busy person, and I think teaching is one of the most demanding professions, it is amazing that you find time for all the quilting that you do, along with all the other commitments and calamities (whether, school issues, etc.) that you encounter. Thank you for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge! You have helped me to complete so many projects over the years.
With what's going on in eduction in FL, I'm not surprised the school administrator's have taken to drink. I hope you find some time to sew purple this month.
Wow about the administration at your school. It is amazing that teachers still get the job done while admistration can screw up
Some is better than none 😉
