Pantography

I can't really remember the last time that I used a pantograph on a quilt.  Maybe twice or thrice, ever?  The design I really wanted to do on this quilt would not work at all on my machine.  Not enough sewing space.  I though I should surround each of the stars and extend into the alternate blocks with big diamonds of some sort.  Sew not possible.  Knowing that I want to get this quilt done soon so that I can get the machine out of the formal living room, I thought I'd go with an edge to edge pattern.
So I pulled out this little swirly arc type pattern and tried to remember just what to do.  I think its coming back to me.  The funniest part is, that each member of my family has wandered by at some point during the process and asked why I was quilting from the wrong side.  I guess they do notice things.
We all went as a family this morning to watch Star Wars.  Everyone except Anna who went to FIT to work on her science fair project.  I really enjoyed it. Everyone did except Kurt, he thought it depended too much on the greater story arc and didn't stand alone enough.  Today is his first official day of being unemployed.  His new job won't start until January and so he is hoping to enjoy a little quiet time around the house.  We'll see how that goes.  He usually gets stir crazy after just a few days.

Speedy quilting pattern... Hooray!! I'll be looking forward to seeing this one finished. It will give me a better idea what my quilt will look like when I get the star points added and the alternate blocks sewn!

We are going to SW tomorrow -- yes, our families do notice stuff but they don't always comment. Merry Christmas to you AND yours.

We'll probably wait till next week to see the SW movie. We'll all be ready to get out of the house by then. I like the swirly pantograph.

Looks good! I guess it is like riding a bicycle and you don't really forget.

How long is your table?

looks good, I never use pantos (just don't want to and don't have room behind my machine) this does look like one of my favorite edge to edge designs that I just freehand. I bet you can do that too!

Nice panto! I've never used any of mine (or my 'groovy boards' either. I either free-hand assorted designs or draw designs using stencils or whatever. I need to try a panto--this one looks quite nice and fast too!
