ScrapHappy Saturday

My big news this weekend is that I have finished the Sawtooth Sampler Blocks!  I was on a role last Sunday and powered through the last four blocks.  Still feeling strong I puttered around a bit more until the rest of the alternate blocks were on the wall too.  That will leave me free today to play with the last of my orange scraps.  Next Saturday will start a new color!  I hope your orange blocks are coming together nicely.  Misterlinky is below so that we can all come and visit your progress.

I really have been playing with orange scraps - making a giant sheet of scrappy made fabric. But I also want to share another RSC 2014 finish today - The Eclectic Goose.

Looking forward to the next color . . .

So sad that orange month is already coming to an end.
I feel like I didn't do it justice since September is so busy!

I am still catching up with the other colours hence the purple - I should be able to complete the orange row now the alternate block instructions are up!

Hurray for finishing the blocks!
I'm sad to see the end of orange, but I can look forward to it for next year. So many colors, so little time...

I didn't do as much with orange as I thought I would - not by a long shot! But I'm firming up plans for an orange quilt so this month's focus has not been in vain. Hopefully next year I'll have many more actual scraps in orange. In the meantime, I've already made at least one Ohio Star (my block of choice for this year's RSC) in brown! Guess I got ahead of the game!

Orange was fun...still working on piecing some little spools, but they're all cut out for leaders and enders!
