ScrapHappy Saturday - Orange Saturday Number 4

It is a busy time of year for teachers.  Monday was originally scheduled as a holiday for the kids and a workday for teachers, but we had to give it back as a hurricane makeup.

Science fair is in full swing and lacrosse has just started.  None of my own children are competing at fair this year which is a first in at least 10 years.  I will still head over to the mall this morning though and support my students.  There are 150 kids from our school competing this year.  Then I need to pop into school to do some prep for a lab next week.  So many good things fill up the days and makes them rush by.
I was glad to have gotten most of my orange blocks done early this month, but I'm not at all sure what to do with one more orange Saturday for leap day next week.  I hope  your orange blocks are all coming along nicely.

Your ORANGE design wall looks delicious!! Sorry to hear that Syd's not competing in the Science Fair this year. What a wonderful teacher you are to attend anyway (to show support for your participating students!)

As for next week... fast forward to a... NEW color!!! :o))

I loved reading how involved your kids were with the science fair in the years past. I know they have moved on to bigger and better things in college. I'm sure you'll find some fun scrappy thing to do next week for the extra day this year. Happy sewing!

It's a super busy time for substitute teachers like myself as well. I am already booked for most of March and at least a third of April! This year is flying by for me. There are only 15 more weeks of school until summer vacation.

We lost the day off from school on Monday as well...and then were out Friday due to road conditions from a dusting of snow. No word yet which day they'll take back for Friday. Love your orange blocks, especially the petals and the ones framed in black.

I'm always amazed at how you have a full-time job and make time to quilt.
I keep forgetting it's Leap Year. I still have plenty of orange scraps but not sure I want another orange block. However, your wall of orange blocks are tempting me.

Beautiful blocks, Angela! Busy days, busy life. Thank goodness we have our quilting to fit in (when we can) to regain our sanity! Have a good week!

Your orange blocks are wonderful. I'm glad I picked an easy block for me so I can keep up with the challenge! Thanks for sponsoring it.
