RRCB Progress

I'm thinking of changing the layout on RRCB ever so slightly.  I decided to use a brown and a green as the constants and liked the look of the dark triangles on the inside of the blocks instead of the outside.  I think it gives it a bear claw kind of look and ties into the string blocks nicely.  What do you think? The original quilt layout is here for comparison.  I also can't find the three patches from Part 1 of the mystery and so am thinking of skipping the pieced border all together.

I think that looks good and it adds your own touch to it.

I like your color changes too. I wouldn't skip the pieced border though, dig harder girl & find those missing parts. LOL The border really sets off the center so nicely. I had fun making mine.

It looks really good and makes it your own. I like your colour scheme too! I also think the pieced border really adds a very nice design element to the whole quilt.

When I pulled up your blog and saw the first picture, I went OOOH, I love your blocks, it took me a minute to recognize RRCB, but I love the bear claw look.

Your RRCB quilt is wonderful! Your colors are outstanding. However, I think you need to reconsider adding Bonnie's border. It really adds to the overall effect of RRCB...just my 2cents ;-)

I love your colors and how you changed the block. I like the look of Bonnie's border... maybe the kids can help you dig... you know, like a treasure hunt!
