Last Pink Saturday

Can you believe that the pink month is almost over?  Friday is the last day of the month, so feel free to spend a few days finishing off the odds and ends and getting ready for a fresh start.  Because it is the last pink Saturday, it is also giveaway day!  Our very kind sponsor, Vicki Welsh, sent me a lovely collection of her beautiful hand dyed fabric to share with all the lovely people who are participating in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.  To enter the giveaway, just comment on this post telling me what the temperature is where you are.  I will choose a random name from the list and announce the winner at the same time I announce the new color for March.  A front moved in yesterday and we got some rain, but while I was walking around the University of Florida campus with my students on Thursday it hit 81 Fahrenheit (27 Celsius) and we all got a little sunburned.  Given that we had frost only a few weeks ago, it would be fair to say our weather has been crazy lately.

Don't forget to link in and share your rainbow scrap challenge progress.

I was a little sad to only get 6 RSC Sampler blocks done this month.  I will definitely try to get a few more in before Friday.  It has been unusually busy here though.  Given our typical routine of carting around three kids, that is saying a lot.  I'm taking Anna to Lacrosse practice today while Kurt runs Odyssey of the Mind practice for Sydney.  Ryan has his turn tomorrow with playoffs for his flag football season.

I think six blocks is awesome, especially while raising 3 children. I am feeling a bit like a slacker with my four blocks a month. Looking forward to next month's color and we are enjoying 37 right now, but the weathermen are promising a sunny 69 later today.

You have been busy. But I bet you wouldn't have it any other way! I agree its amazing you managed to get six blocks done. Enjoy the crazy sunshine while you have it!!

Drama Teen keeps us plenty busy, I can't imagine life with three very active kiddos. With science fair going on you did well to get 6 blocks done.

The temperature here at the moment is 8 Celsius/ 47 Fahrenheit, which is higher than the average for February. It's crazily too warm - I prefer it warmer though, so I'm not complaining.
I've enjoyed making the pink blocks and look forward to reading about next month's colour.

I've loved the pinks and looking forward to the next colour.

The thermometer is in the sun and it says 40 but I don't believe it, even though it's been warmer recently. More snow next week maybe.

With all you have going on at the moment I'd say you did pretty good with 6 blocks. They look gorgeous too :) I hope to catch up a bit more before the end of the month ;)

I think it is in the 60's and will raise up to the 70's today but very dreary and rainy and foggy right now. I get a kid free day after I drop them to Grandma so I can get some sewing in and clear out the sewing room for company next week. Hope you get a few stitches in today. Looks like two more pink blocks for the sampler to work on this week.

Good morning Angela. The weather here is above zero C for the third consecutive day. It's 1 C or 14 F. The wind is fierce and the clouds are scudding across the sky but the sun is shining and it should be a beautiful day.

Elly D said...

Oh and it's 8.7(C) here at the moment..(about 47F) which is warmer than it has been of late. But it is raining. We've had too much rain this year... the largest rainfalls since records began and it is causing a lot of devastation down south. Thankfully, I live up north and up a hill. Enjoy your sunshine!

Good Morning! The temps here in NE Indiana this morning is in the 20's. It has been a challenging winter this year! I missed a couple weeks of stitching this month due to a family medical leave, and I am so happy to be back in the groove! I have linked up for the last pink Saturday.

Here is eastern IA it is 21(F) with snow on the ground. Winds of a couple of days ago that took some siding off the house have died down now.

Cute sampler blocks.

Like many places, we have had crazy weather this winter in Atlanta. Just over a week ago, a huge ice storm. This weekend, the forecast is close to 70F. I definitely prefer the latter!
Your sampler blocks are looking great! I am amazed at how much you get done with working and 3 kids.

It is 50 outside right now but supposed to be in the 70's today. My kinda weather. However, it's gonna chill down over the next few days-YUCK! Really do need to get a few more pinks done before EOM (I'm easily sidetracked!

Love reading all the different temps everyone has posted. Here in Montana we're going back into the deep freeze. It was 7* when I got up this morning, but have a sunny day. Looking forward to the new color. My pinks are about exhausted.

Here in Kansas we're currently in the 40s, hoping for a high of 60! Tonight, it will be in the 20s and back to chillier weather for the next week.

At 11 AM in Santa Fe, New Mexico it is 50 degrees, on it's way to a high of 63. It's a good day for a walk ... before the next cold front blows through.

I am so ready for a new color ... can't wait to see what's next in store for all of us.

It's 50 degrees here in Pa. It was 60 yesterday but we are expecting more than one snow storm next week! Uncle already! I've had enough!

It is a balmy 3C (37F) in Southern Ontario today - but we are due to drop again to around -10C (14F) soon
Can't wait until Spring - it has been a doozy of a winter.

I think you're doing really well to keep up with doing your sampler blocks as well as everything else that fills your life. It's about 5C here in the UK, a little warmer IF the sun shines (rare at the moment) and cooler at night. But even though it's been the wettest winter since records began, it's not been too cold at all.

Well, it finally feels a bit like spring today in Kentucky. About 60 degrees and sunshine, hooray! I'm not sure it's going to last, but for today, I'll take it!

Thank you for challenging me with the monthly scrappy challenge. In the process, I hope to organize my fabrics. Our temperature today in middle Tennessee is 68 degrees and sunny.

Today we reached a lovely 52 degrees. Back down in the 20s at the end of the week so everyone was out and enjoying the beautiful day. You certainly shouldn't be disappointed with 6 beautifullly finished blocks. I don't know how you get any sewing done with your schedule.

Cannot believe that at 6:20 at night it is 47 degrees here in SE CT! I wish it would last...but tonight it's supposed to drop like a rock AGAIN!! Julierose

I remember how busy it was with my three kids. I can't even imagine trying to quilt during that time! We're on the West coast above San Francisco. We've been hanging around 60' to 65' this week.

You may have only 6 blocks done this time, but they sure are winners. Can't wait for next Saturday!

I was so glad to finish my pink RSC block early. Can't wait for March's color. I made other pink blocks this week, but haven't posted about them yet. Maybe I'll get it done before the end of the month! Thanks much for hosting.

Forgot to tell you that our temperature is 33 degrees here in MO.

Busy just comes with kids, we have four and some days it's felt like a marathon race to get through the day. We are 40 degrees this morning in Dupont, WA near Joint Base Lewis McCord. There is snow falling in some local areas but not here, darn. I just found your site today and think I might like to play along. Thanks for sharing your day with us!

It's heading to the mid 60's today. Way better than the low 20's we've seen so much of this winter. If you can or want to I somehow put a linky to my pink block on last month linky party. I have no clue how to get rid of it! I love technology. I'm looking forward to the next color. I have a sneaky suspicion I'll want to add more to each color by the time the year is over but right now I'm keeping it to one a month. Very doable for me! Thanks.

We had lots of snow here week before last. Today it was about 70 degrees.

I didn't get any sewing done this week at all.... but I can tell you that currently, it's -6° or 21°(F). My father keeps asking me, "And this is supposed to be Global Warming?" LOL I live in s.w. Ontario, Canada

KatieQ said...

We were spoiled by temperatures in the 50s over the weekend, but it is in the 30s today and will get lower as the week goes on. While I was out shopping on Saturday, everywhere I looked there were people in shorts and tee shirts, not the usual attire for NY in February.

Great sampler blocks. It was -32C here and then some wind chill added to that. so very cold.

my car thermometer said 7c this morning. Nice and warm! I'll be linking up in a couple of days. The linky is open until the end of the month?
