Background Fabric?

I think this solid parchment colored fabric from Connecting Threads will serve as the background for my column along quilt.  I got the sampler fabrics in the mail yesterday from Vicki and can't wait to start sewing.  Isn't that a happy collection of fabrics?
I did the math this afternoon and 3 yards should be plenty for the background fabric of your choice.  Unless of course you want to be scrappy, then no math is needed.

Very happy collection. I'm leaning toward a light grey but we'll see what other ideas come up before starting on this. Picking out the fabrics is half the fun for me.

I'm really excited to start anew year of RSC; my scraps have multiplied tremendously!! Can you give us an estimate of how much background fabric we will need? I'd like to get mine ahead and take advantage of year-end sales. Thanks!

I've enjoyed watching your and everyone else's progress on the rainbow quilts. I already have enough projects to work on next year, but you sure are tempting me to jump in and sew along! Blessings, Gretchen
