Border Patrol

As soon as a quilt get spread out on the floor, Lizzie is right there to help with the final inspection.  Both borders are on and the back got partially pieced before pizza showed up for dinner.  Sunday is usually pizza night, but we postponed it in honor of the three day weekend.
After the pizza was safely away, I pulled out the broken dishes quilt to take a few more stitches.  Even though all the center blocks aren't quite done, I cheated and got a start on the borders.  I got quite a bit done while we enjoyed Alice Through the Looking Glass as a family.

Your border sparkles without stealing the show. Great call on the border's colours. Beautiful! ;^)

I love the colour you chose for the border - perfect.

The design you chose for your broken dishes border looks good and so do your stitches I might add!

I love your border choices.
All the reviews I read for Alice Through the Looking Glass were terrible. (even the "common man" reviews) But I enjoyed it also. It wasn't the best ever, but it was still fun.

Good thinking on pulling the color from the center out to the outer border. That works well.

I love the look of the narrow inner border and then the wider outside one! The whole quilt really is gorgeous, Angela!

Sure is nice to have a 'helper'! I think she's given her stamp of approval, lol!

It's a timeless beauty! Getting harder to top these every year, I say.

It looks wonderful and the borders do it justice. I can imagine how difficult it was to get just the right colour for the border on this one

Beautiful quilt. The border is perfect to set off all those glorious colors.
It's a good thing you have Lizzy to protect your work!

Whenever possible, I take my quilt tops to a retreat, and have my guild members help with Border Control. There are a couple of them who are so much better than I are at it. My dogs would be of no help. And unlike your pug, they'd mess up the top getting on it. It would no longer be spread out so neatly after they decided to walk or sit on it!
